So it was either zofran or starve. Thank goodness for zofran in my case. Also all medication has risk. Even benadryl which is called safe during pregnancy is rumored to cause cleft lip. I've taken it to. A lot of people have. Its pick and choose in this world when It comes to things like this.

with pain meds, they usually give promethazine, which is what i take. so in answer to your question, no. i have not taken zofran to the best of my knoweldge.

Sometimes drugs are necessary. I am so thankful for zofran bc I get the chance to have my baby boy. In my case vomiting almost 20 times a day couldve killed my baby, or couldve killed me bc of dehydration and severe weight loss. Not everyone is lucky enough to be able to vomit every day and still be considered healthy...

Zofran for pregnant women has been available for almost 20 years if it was as bad as they say we wouldn't have just been hearing about ambulance chasing lawsuits. I had severe morning sickness with my daughter to the point I couldn't keeps down spoons of water eve for my entire pregnancy I was on it so me and baby didn't die. This time around u was o. It until I was 22 weeks along. My children are perfect.

hey the zofran in the pill did not work for me but the zofran in the tab that melts on your tongue was a miricle worker, you just can't drink water right after it for a lil while.

I keep seeing this ad on tv about zofran causing birth defects and other serious problems. Im freaking out because i was prescribed zofran in my first trimester!!!!! Any one else seen this ad and or taking zofran?!

I did try coca cola before and it worked for about 3 days and now the smell of coke makes me sick! My doctor prescribed me zofran and phenegran...

ve read about though. Some women with HG have Zofran pumps they use and their babies come out fine. Zofran is also rated safer than Phenergan (It has a class C rating) and my daughter came out perfect even with how much I had to take. Don't let it get too bad though. No need to feel sick if you have the capabilities to feel better.

My doctor perscibed it to me for nausea. But then i got freaked out about a commercial i saw in tv about zofran causing birth defects.

Saw doc today, got script for zofran but forgot to ask how to use it. Can someone tell me when you are supposed to take it? Bottle says 3 times a day as needed but can I just take one now and then and how long does it take to work? 4mg. Thanks.

Hi, I am 6 weeks pregnant almost 7 now and I have had the worse nausea of my life. Not much of throwing up just nausea. I was prescribed Zofran to help with that but I have found that a lot of women who have taken it have had their child born with deformities. Has anyone taken this medicine before???

No abnormalities were noted in the offspring of these two women. Ondansetron is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.

Zofran and Phenergan are a class C. I was given Diclegis. It works amazing. And I occasionally take ginger root.

Rather than use a commercial or somebody posting something in an app to decide whether to take it, use your own judgement.

Just use ginger or peppermint don't use nothing I know feeling sick ***** but any pills u never know regardless of what doctors say natural products is better

Yes zofran is great. Took in beginning of pregnancy and now again towards the end..

My brothers girlfriend was on zofran most her pregnancy and my niece was and is fine. My oldest sister was on zofran with both her children and my niece was born not breathing and my nephew had to have a blockage removed from his heart a month after being born. So I personally don't want to take any chances. Good luck whichever u choose.

Ive been taking zofran on and off my entire pregnancy. Currently 33 wks With a very healthy baby. There are birth defects that can be cause but they are very few and far btwn.

My friend took it with her pregnancies and delivered healthy babies,but i know there are massive lawsuits against zofran. I would say consult with your Dr and approach with caution.

t keep anything down as far as food. After reading a few post in this group. I hav heard about people using Zofran and there babies coming out with defects or women having miscarriages....

There was a lawsuit recently for the manufacturer of Motrin for children. It was found out that metal shavings were being put into it and sadly the guy just pleaded guilty and he says he knew about it for a year. Also the fda has made warnings about zofran since 2013.

Zofran is NOT recommended by the FRAME for use in pregnancy. There is evidence of cleft palates and heart deformation in pregnancy. Diclegis is much safer and is the ONLY anti nausea med is the class A safety rating for meds. It has been studied for 50 years with zero correlation to negative side effects in the fetus. Only downside is it makes you really sleepy. Do your research.
