is zofran safe to take during pregnancy... im 9 weeks and 4 days and the nasuea has been so bad i cant keep anythinf down at all...

I got offered it but remember in school hearing about the medication they used in the passed was linked to infertile women born from mothers who used the drug during pregnancy. There also B6 twice daily.

There are lawsuits pending against the pharmaceutical company because it was never approved for use during pregnancy

Is it safe to take zofran during pregnancy. My doctor perscibed it to me for nausea. But then i got freaked out about a commercial i saw in tv about zofran causing birth defects.

I had severe nausea during all four of my pregnancies and was only prescribed Zofran during my last pregnancy. My daughter was born with spina bifida and fused toes on one foot and several ear and skin tags. I was only taking prenatal vitamins and Zofran during this pregnancy. My daughter had to undergo spinal surgery at six months of age. She fortunately does not suffer the terrible heart defects some of the other unfortunate children did.

The risks of defects associated with Zofran occur before 12 weeks of pregnancy. I had to take it for a few weeks during that period before my morning sickness went away. They check for defects and everything at your 20 week scan. It seems like she prescribed it because the risk of you running into a health issue due to your weight loss is higher than a birth defect caused by Zofran.

I'm on it to..Round two of it. I'm thinking everything's going to be fine. They say benadryl might (might) cause it also which is safe during pregnancy and I've also taken that. But it could also happen for no reason at all. So I try not to worry. You have to eat. Believe me I take it and even then I still get sick but it's better then not taking it at all.

Yes zofran is great. Took in beginning of pregnancy and now again towards the end..

I would highly recommend Zofran. It is used for nausea and it works WONDERS! They have other drugs likes Phenergan and Compozine, but the side effects are long and AWFUL (I know because I have taken both). I just looked at the med fact on Zofran and while it doesn't say much about breastfeeding while taking Zofran, there aren't any known problems with taking it during pregnancy.

I just seen a commercial saying zofran is bad during pregnacy and they have a law suit against them i use mezline for vomitting

benadryl is also safe to use during pregnancy ive been told! but if i was you I would try natural remedies first, as of course they are going to be better for you than medication! check at your local health store and you should be able to get something!

Is zofran safe to rake during pregnancy? I've read some stories and some say it's not and can cause heart defects is this true?

Doctor is going to start me on vitamin b6 that helped me during my second pregnancy now on bby #3 hopefully it helps since I to have lost weight.u should adk your doctor if it would help u to. Just as a second choice.

t really taken it though just because by the time i feel sick its to late and i did see one of those terrible commercials on it lately so it kinda worried me but during my first pregnancy it was a life saver

I've been taking it my whole pregnancy because I have hyperemesis gravidarum. I'm now almost 35 weeks now & when I started seeing those commercials I was freaking out! I know women thattook this during ttheir pregnancy & their babies are perfectly fine. I don't think a Dr would prescribe it if it was harmful.

Update - - so the Zofran for my nausea - - that I was so excited to try... well it only takes the edge off - - I'm still miserable most of the time...

Dramamine is okay during pregnancy! It was on the list my dr gave me! I had to take it my whole first trimester and I have a healthy babyboy on the way!

Not to scare anyone at all but I just saw an ad stating that if you took Zofran during your pregnancy and your baby was born with a birth defect like heart problems or cleft palate/lip, then you may be eligible for compensation. This is just a informational post for any mommies who may be taking Zofran and also for mommies who took Zofran and gave birth to a baby with any defects.

There is no recall on zofran. It is safe to take during pregnancy. I took it for 7 weeks this pregnancy and no defects with this baby. Don't believe everything you hear on tv or online.

So I've been seeing all this negative stuff about zofran causing all kinds of birth defects to unborn babies. I'm 30 weeks pregnant & I've been taking zofran my entire pregnancy, so it's worrying me. Has anyone else taken zofran? What are your opinions on it?

I had terrible morning sickness all 40wks whenever I didn't take zofran.

I never used it during pregnancy but thy did give me a high dosage of it during labor it worked so good.
