trich isn't a bacterial infection.
I have NOT had any discharge, pain with urination, cloudy urine, testicular soreness. I went to a clinic and they gave me cipro and zithromax in case of chlamydia/gonorrhea but I still seem to have these symptoms. Any thoughts? Could this be trichomonas?
I tested positive for Mycoplasma Genitalium. The test was negative for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trich, Ureaplasma. I received zithromax (azithromycin) for 5 days. (500 mg the first day and 250 mg day 2-5). The symptoms have improved, for example I no longer have the morning discharge that I had before and the stains in my underwear have almost disappeared. It is now 5 days since I took the last dose of zithromax. I still have some mucus strings and mucus debris in my urine.
And prescribed me medicine for that... so my question is... Is it possibel to test the same for chlamydia and trich or was it trich all along? I'm just so mad and confused I'm only 19 I just want it to go away. And the clinic doesn't seem to care as much..if anyone can give me some info pleasee please let me know? I start treatment for trich tom. Hopefully this is it. And also should I ask for a pap?
No Help, after taking amox for 12 days I went back 2days after being off of Amox and was tested for everything except trich I also took additional HSV typ 1 and 2 test at 16 weeks negative except type one. Now my only concern is trich, since there is no accurate way to test for it in men and since the cure rate for treating it in men is not the best. It has now been six months and I notice as the day goes the pain gets worse, I have no pain during the night or in the morning when I wake up.
I went back for evaluation and Dr did a swab for Trich and white cells, she said that she did not see any bacteria, and no white sales under the microscope. I have a sticky white discharge, urgent to pee, and some discomfort. Woman was tested and she claims that tests came back negative for Go/Chla My questions:
1) is it possible that the antibiotics taken the week prior made the NAAT test false negative?
2) What else is there that could be causing this symptoms?
I had also gotten treated with Metrondizale for trich but symptoms still persisted after that. It is now almost April and am still having discharge in the morning and after urinating with a mild sting and itch after urinating. I am scared because I have no idea what is going on with my body and how to fix it. Does anyone know anything about this problem of mine?
even examined my clear fluid under microscope for trich. Dr. gave me 1 dosage of antiobiotic (methadizole however you spell it) just in case for trich infection. Since then still having discomfort (especially when sitting). I went back again Later Oct to get another swab test done for chlamydia and it came back negative. I intend to go to urologist to see if I have pancreatitis. My question is what the heck could I have?
Went to another urgent care after symptoms persisted and they looked at WBC (sure they were for STDs) and treated with doxycycline for one week and supprax(?) symptoms disappeared for a week and came back, so i went and got tested for a full panel of stds, all were negative. after symptoms persisted longer, i went and got azithromycin, wondering if i had a resistant bug to the doxycycline. Symptoms went away for a week and then came back.
I have had four 1000 mg Zithromax treatment plus two 500 mg Rocephin shots. The recommended treatment is apparently 1 g Zithromax for three weeks, but it said 'empirically' which means to basically try it and see what happens. As the Zithromax has significantly helped to control the urethral discharge, all I can do is keep trying to get Zithromax on a weekly basis and hope it eventually cures the discharge for good.
Just another comment, if you're waiting for your symptoms to clear before you come home, you could be waiting a long time. If you want to be sure you don't have an infection, go get tested to be sure. No doctor on line or anyone else on line for that matter can gaurantee you're not infected, only testing can confirm this. So if you really want to confirm you don't have anything to transmit, go get testing done (UA, swb, PCR for M Gen, PCR or culture for Trich, etc.
Well last Friday my girlfriend took me to the hospital because of the burning and the pain the hospital tested for trich yeast gonherra and chlymidia. They said it was all negative and sent me home. Well I went to my gyno Tuesday and she checked me for yeast and said I had a horrible yeast infection that I had to have for months. But I've taken Diflucan many times and it didn't go away well she gave me three doses of Diflucan and a vaginal suppository with a weeks dose.
I tested positive for chlamydia and negative for gon and trich on Jan 12 and took the 1g of zithromax. I never had any symptoms of Chlamydia and about 4 days after I started to get a irritation in my right inguinal lymph node. A few things to add before I tell the rest. I had a broken and infected toe on my left foot and a dry cough started a few days before the lymph node irritation. I've also always had lymph node swelling when I get sick.
finally today I got my results back and she said I am positive for BV AND Trich. I’ve been with my boyfriend for 4 years, I got BV the first couple months we started having intercourse (not sure if it was Trich as well) we have a two year old daughter, I’ve been to the doctor numerous times over the past 3 years getting tested for STD/STI, and poked, prodded for other reasons (endo, ovarian cysts) not once out of these 4 years I’ve been with him have I been positive for Trich.
I have done plenty of research and know that I have not been tested for Ureaplasma/Micoplasma/Trich! Medication taken. Zithromax one gram/Cipro 500 MG twice a day for a week, doxi 200 mg for ten days, flagyl 2g one dose, 500 mg twice a day for a week. Now from what i have read on this forumn this should of taken care of this. Reading further Mycoplasma Genitalium is associated in women with BV and proliferates in women with BV.
I dont know if I have had a partner with ngu I am just searching for possibilities My last 3 test have come back negative for trich yeast and BV. I have also tested for gonnereah and claymidia both negative. But I know something is just not right and it seems to be getting worse. The doctor said during examination he can tell something is wrong he just said that its unknown. I am not sure he is very familiar with std's so I wanted to find out what i could ask if he will do.
I had a positive test result for trich. I have been faithful and assumed my boyfriend of six years has been, too. The doctor told me this is passed on sexually. I have been reading online that the parasite can lie dormant for years. However, the affirm test was done on me in both 2008 and 2009, both times coming back negative for trich. If it is lying dormant, can it still be detected on the affirm test?
