I am going through some kind of liver problem, possibly related to antibiotics, they thought it was acute Hep A or Mono but I've been tested for everything multiple times and all results are negative. I feel better now, even GREAT. My last tests showed AST/ALT levels above 900! And that was an indication that I'm better, I don't know what they were before.

Hi, i was diagnosed with chlamydia today in my local STD clinic, the doctor gave me 4 250mg Zithromax tablets to take which i did as instructed. A little later without thinking about it i drank one pint of beer. Genuine mistake. i was just wondering will the dose of Zithromax i took work now?

I was with someone exposed to both. I am taking one dose of 1.5g of zithromax to stop or cure myself from catcing of having either one. Will this work and or do the job?
so i went to the docs strep came back negative. so he gave me zithromax just in case and it didnt work and gave me some diarrhea after taking it ( a common side affect) no intial diarrehea until i took those pills. so i went back to the docs and he said i didnt have swollen nodes or anything so it shouldnt be anything serious and gave me another antibiotic and sent me home. he told me not to take it unless i didnt feel better by a certain day.

I stopped all antibiotics for 10 days and relapsed. I take Zithromax M, W, and F, and have taken 2 doses since I relapsed. My dr. wants me to start low dose prednisone and Valtrex, as my CMV titers are escalating. Not sure I want to take the predisone, even though it's low dose (40mg total daily x 5 days), because I am a nurse and don't want to catch any more infections, or experience anymore side effects. thank you for your replies, it helps to know that others are experiencing similar symptoms. the thicker whitish coating i had on my tongue seemed to be most prevalent at the peak of my sickness and has not returned the way it was. i still notice it being "withered", more in the morning or when i'm dehydrated or after prolonged hours of sleep or perhaps depending on what i eat. I haven't quite narrowed it down yet.
I initially received a shot and pills for suspected gonorrhea, the results came back and all tests were negative except for a UTI. I was given initially ,zithromax, doxycycline and flagyl , took all those. Still with a discharge and given a second dose of zithromax. I still have a little discharge thats more prominent in the mornings. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
If I suspect Mono, and took a 3 day course of Amoxicillin (10 pills) and developed no rash, can I pretty much rule out mono?
Some sources state 80-90% of those taking Amoxicillin with Mono develop the rash, while I've even seen 99% as a percentage.
I actually want it to be Mono, instead of something worse, but I'm starting to fear the worst.
Have any of you had Mono, been misdiagnosed with Strep and took Amoxicillin, and NOT get the rash?

Thank you hon. I'm trying my best, mono is awful because they don't know what causes it and they have zero medication/antibiotics to treat it.
My 12 year old daughter was diagnosed with mono almost 1 year ago today and although her symptoms have abated, she still has periods when "overdoes" an activity that her symptoms come back full blown. I do not know what sites you have been to, but I recommend the Mayo Clinic site as it has been helpful to our family in this regard.

I dated a guy back from October-December and we had sex about 5 times. I know it is not healthy to do this but I recently became paranoid and took 1g of Zithromax today just in case of a STD. I was tested before this guy and was clean. I am unable to get a STD test due to facilities closing pretty early and will get one in a couple months but do you think the 1g would have cured gonnoreha, chlamydia, and syphilis if I did have it?
