zantac weight loss

I was diagnosed with acid reflux and gastritis. I was on Zantac for a while and was taking natural supplements. When all this started, I couldn't eat over 600-900 calories a day. I was 230 pounds (I am a 41 year old female) when it started and after two months I got down to 207 pounds. Two weeks ago, most of my pain went away and I started eating normally again and the acid reflux was controlled through diet. I have not lost any more weight.

I would also have your veterinarian check her thyroid panel, as hyperthyroidism can cause increased hunger and weight loss in older cats.

I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?

Has anyone ever taken Zantac? My doctor told me to take that everyday instead of taking tums b/c they are pointless, but I kinda don't wanna take medicine.

Has anyone taken zantac during pregnancy for heartburn? I'm 22+5 and have heartburn almost every other day. Sometimes it's so bad that I just want to sleep so i don't feel it.

Also of concern is a weight loss from 198 to 192 in a week and a half. The vomiting and diet change might be the main reason, but I am still watching it, and concerned with how fast it changed. I am also still exercising regularly. I am wondering at what point I should consider seeing my GI doctor for an endoscopy or other tests. I understand this is probably GERD, hiatal hernia, gastritis or gastroparesis.

It's very good that it'gaining weight. If Zantac doesn't help I would consider she is having some kind of reaction to formula. I have food intolerance and I get a lot of reflux during the reactions. I was given Prilosec, Zantac, Prevacid... you name it I tried it.... before I (not the docs) figured out that it was intolerance to food.

my 11 yr old son has been feeling sick and bein sick after meals for the last two weeks,my doctor put him on zantac twice a day for a week.the zantac is not doing any good, few days ago my doctor sent him for blood tests which came back to day clear.i m still giving him the zantac half hour befor breakfast and tea i dont know what to do next.

my 14 weeks baby girl weighing 12 pounds spits up at least 3 to 4 times every feed (4 feeds per day) and she burps many times as well and she gets all cranky and fussy while burping or spitting.. She doesn't cry excessively but she just seems annoyed and we need to keep distracting her..

After month upon month of frustration, the wife goes and buys hubby some extra strength Zantac and within three hours he was wanting a cheeseburger. When the doctors came in that afternoon I asked them to give it a try. After a bit of condescending attitude on the doctor's part, he said, well, it can't hurt her so if that's what you want we will give it a try. It has now been a week since she was released from the hospital and so far, so good.

Or will it just stop the condition from getting worse. Also a side effect of Zantac tablets is impotence and loss of libido, because I suffered from Gynocomastia, does this necesserily mean I will/am suffering from loss of libido and impotence? Thanks alot to anyone who helps.

Going on almost four months now continuously. Taking 60 milligrams of Kapifex in the morning and 150 milligrams of Zantac in the evening. Even that combination isn't working. Anyone out there had GERD to this degree? If so, what did you do to alleviate it. Thanks for any info.

I believe that prevacid can cause weight gain ..seems so many babies are now diagnosed with reflux we used to call it cholic and wait for it to pass now seems they put them on meds.Still your doctor would know the answer, I think its the meds and whilst you child ius on them he may gain weight.good luck once he is off the meds he may go down to a normal weight.

Yes please talk to your dr, there are many things that could cause rapid or excessive weight loss and some of them can be serious. In addition to Thyroid and GI testing maybe ask about diabetes. It seems odd, but it can cause weight loss.
