605877 tn?1301700646 I have been prescribed Axid for acid relux, but the doctor has not performed any tests. Originally I had heartburn and felt sick and then it seemed to move lower in my abdomen. After no medicine for a month (was on lansoprazole) I have in the past week felt very very nauseous. Is AXID specifically for nausea or should I be on something else? In addition my bowel movement are in pieces, although usually all together they break very easily and are covered in a orange clear mucus.
368461 tn?1291515587 Brock is on Zantac for the reflux. I have no clue if it works or not. He also has cereal in his bottle, and we switched to soy. He still has super fussy times, even after feeding, diaper, napping...I am starting to think baby #1 is my high maintenance baby, so #2 better be easy going! Good luck...hope it works for Hayden! We also have a blanket under his crib mattress, about a 30 degree angle, for help with the reflux.
Avatar n tn Hello Gavali and welcome to MedHelp. It sound like things are pretty well. A comprehensive metabolic panel and complete blood count are all the lab testing required to monitor changes in liver function. Have these panels ran twice annually. A healthy diet and maintain a healthy weight will also prevent liver disease. It sounds like you are having some digestive disorders such as GERD. GERD is caused by frequent acid reflux — the backup of stomach acid or bile into the esophagus.
Avatar n tn I started taking Zantac 150 and it seemed okay but I started have occasional nausea and sharp pains in the stomach area. My Internal Medicine doctor advised the ulcer is being aggravated by the acid which is causing nausea and pain, the Zantac was not strong enough. She prescribed Protonix 40mg twice a day, I have been on that and feel great; no fatigue, no nausea, no pain!
Avatar m tn Hi again ireneo! I have never had an esophageal spasm but I do know by my own experiences (both as a nurse and a patient) that SOB occurs with angina and stays until the the pain from the tightened heart muscle ( blockage or spasms) is relieved by stopping an exertion or taking a vasodiolator like nitro. Cheetoh, take a zantac if you think it's from the digestive track. Zantac will not stop heart angina pain, but nitro COULD relieve the digestive discomfort.
3055148 tn?1368211800 I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?
3055148 tn?1368211800 Has anyone ever taken Zantac? My doctor told me to take that everyday instead of taking tums b/c they are pointless, but I kinda don't wanna take medicine.
7349088 tn?1390657733 Has anyone taken zantac during pregnancy for heartburn? I'm 22+5 and have heartburn almost every other day. Sometimes it's so bad that I just want to sleep so i don't feel it.

Avatar f tn I have tried zantac but it seems not to work at all has anyone had this before and what did u do to make it go away?
1972798 tn?1355549267 i know its normal for milk to come up when they burp- it comes up with the air but i really dont know where the line gets drawn between whats normal for a little one VS acid reflux? best bet is to talk to the Dr... but on that note i think it also depends on the Dr as well so if your really concerned about it and the Dr isnt it doesnt hurt to get a second opinion As far as your little ones weight goes, im pretty interested in how much she will weigh at this next appointment...
Avatar m tn (the perscription for that is Axid 300mg)....I have been on them all, but not the ones with Sodium Bicarbonate like Zegerid OTc....I have been looking to find others who are now not responding to meds and what they are doing, I have found that Milk Thistle could possibly be of some help, I'll give it a try...
Avatar f tn HELP Please... . Our 7 month old wakes up every 90 minutes due to his silent reflux. The Axid and Prevacid both made his stomach upset worse. So now he's only on Nutramagin formula, rice cereal and fruit. The pediatrician says to make his formula extra thick. His little voice is hoarse all the time. He doesn't have colic. Our lil one is sooo happy until he goes down for a nap or night time sleep. Is there anything else out there? His upper GI was normal.
Avatar n tn You can try an over-the-counter medication such as Pepcid or Axid. If there's no improvement after 2 weeks, you can then try Prilosec OTC or Prevacid. If after 2 weeks there's no relief, please see your physician.
Avatar f tn Intense heat can get to anyone, just like you and I may not feel well after being in the heat. It may be that the heat is upsetting her stomach. If you notice that she is spitting up a lot more when in the heat than when in the air, I would keep her inside. Bummer for you but better for her.
