zantac not working

what else will help with heartburn.

I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow, I feel like vomiting, have a nasty heart burn and have no appetite. What did u ladies do?? N I'm still working the nurse said its normal symptoms but it's just making me feel so sick and if I try to vomit I get pressure on down there. Ugh I don't know what to do, don't want to just go to the er and come back. Any of u ladies experience this and what did u do.

Apple cider vinegar with the mother works for me. I took zantac before that.

Tums didnt do the job for me and zantac 75 stopped working also...

Zantac stopped most of it i then stopped taking 20 tums a day anfld only needed them maybe once every few days (not at all if i remembered to take my zantac first thing in the morning and at night!

I tried mylanta before I got the zantac, I had it prescribed to me because nothing else was working...and the zantac was working up to now...

Im on the same page, these babies need to pop out already !

Is there anything thats works for acid reflux bc previcid and tums are not working

tums arent strong enough for me and papaya pills worked in the beginning but the heartburn got too strong...

For a while, just drinking grapefruit juice got rid of it, but now it does nothing. Tums have even stopped working. I am not one to take medicines or pop a pill unless I absolutely have to, and that's pregnant or not pregnant. I don't like the idea of having to take zantac, but it is seriously the only thing that is working now and lets me sleep through the night.

I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?

Has anyone taken zantac during pregnancy for heartburn? I'm 22+5 and have heartburn almost every other day. Sometimes it's so bad that I just want to sleep so i don't feel it.

I started with zantac but it stopped working at about 35 weeks my Dr put me on pepcid complete and it works great

This time around Zantac is working so far. I also try not to eat at least 2 hours before bed and sleep on 3 pillows. With my first pregnancy I put books under the legs if the head of my bed it got so bad. Good luck!

I have acid reflux and didn't want to take zantac with my first pregnancy so I was using a bottle of tums a day! Tums is great for the calcium but really ***** for persistent heartburn/reflux. Zantac stopped working for me and I've been on prilosec for a while now. Just one a day. Over the counter is more expensive than zantac but works better in my opinion.

I've been on zantac 150mg twice a day since around 11 weeks, and over the last 36 hours it's not working as well...what else can I do? I'm not going to take any other medication on top of the zantac. I'm trying drinking milk, and it's not really helping much...

I did know this about zantac and did not give it to my son because of this. I also don't like PPI's, another class of drug to treat GERD, as I took it myself and it made me feel like I ate glass. The thing that worked best for me was plain old 'pepcid', anti acid. AND, the permanent solution for me was to lose roughly 10 pounds and to watch what I ate and when. Things like spaghetti sauce increase the chance I'll have it (acid foods) and eating at night can result in it.

When that stopped working I was on Zantac and tums together. Now that that has stopped working my doctor put me on a medicine from the pharmacy. He said if that doesn't work he will have to put me on a different medicine but it will make me sleepy every time I take it.

I am 31 weeks today and have been suffering with heart burn for a few weeks but tonight it is really bad! I have run out of rennies and milk isn't working...is there anything else I could try...
