zantac

7763229 tn?1396626895 The cheap hot dogs you get in the grocery store are already cooked - it's not necessary to cook them further or even heat them up if you don't want. It's the nitrates in them that preserve them that make them bad for you. You can buy more expensive, uncooked turkey dogs with no preservatives in them and they're fine and healthy to eat. But you DO have to cook them.
250701 tn?1320974765 Zantac is the only heartburn med I am allowed to take in my trial with two experimental drugs. I had to give up my proton inhibitor because it might interfere with absorption of one of the drugs. But even with Zantac I have to be careful to take it 10 hours before and 2 hours after dosing with the study drugs. I find that the only way it will help me is if I do not take it near the time of eating. So I try to take it more than an hour after and at least a half hour before eating.
Avatar f tn what is the difference in Pepcid complete and Pepcid AC. Our vet recommended Pepcid AC for my dogs stomach. I have Pepcid complete, will that work as well.

Avatar n tn I have acid reflux and I recently stopped taking Zantac since there was a recall on it. I had two episodes of blood in my spit in the morning after waking up.
3055148 tn?1368211800 I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?
Avatar n tn Some dogs just have acid reflux as some people do, so pepcid or zantac would lower the acid and stop the relfux. If she has inflammatory bowel disease a low residue diet would be a good choice. This is a prescription food, that your veterinarian should have.
1916673 tn?1420233270 They claim that this plant contains chemical compounds known as saponins, which are used in some detergents as sudsing agents. These compounds may make some dogs ill, especially in large quantities. My opinion on aloe vera products is it's fairly safe for external use (as in shampoos, creams, etc.) but I would not use it as an internal remedy for anything in dogs or cats.
Avatar n tn My little 4 pound toy chihuahua is very active, drinking water, and seems normal in every way. The last two days she has vomited up (once a day) a milky white bile substance. She has never done this before. We feed her a lot of chicken breast along with her regular food. I also sometimes give her a spoonful of my Cheerios cereal from my bowl that has milk on it. Do you think she is lactose intolerant? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
1916673 tn?1420233270 When my dog Mandy was diagnosed with CKD in early 2014, my vet said nothing about BP. I became proactive and consulted with a veterinary nutritionist at Ohio State University. It was she who said CKD dogs are often hypertensive. So then I went back to my vet, requested a BP reading, and found Mandy's systolic BP at 173 was high. Mandy was then put on Enalapril. Much has happened since then. Disappointed with the vet I had been using for 28 years, I changed local vets.
Avatar n tn He has seen the vet and been described the suspension medicinesac (zantac and antepsin) and injections(cerenia solution and metoclopramide) I know that his kidneys are ok, stomach distended sometimes, but accepting water occasionally now but will not accept any type of food the the same or different. I have noticed he shakes from time to time. He wanted a play earlier on, but found it too much.
Avatar m tn Tony has started a great group addressing kidney problems in dogs. I suggest you join. Good luck.
593603 tn?1229378162 Does anyone know if you can take Zantac 75 during your first trimester for heartburn? I took it with my first pregnancy, but it was a lot later in the pregnancy. I am dying here, and need a fix.
280369 tn?1316702041 I would fall asleep drinking water and slept sitting up in an effort to reduce it, but nothing other than Zantac worked. I hope you get relief soon! Acid reflux is horrible.
Avatar m tn The symptoms you list do suggest your dog is in pain, but I believe most dogs handle pain rather well, mostly in silence...but I suppose some are more vocal. I read you to have a Lab (not Lad) if correct 10 years old is sadly in the upper range of life expectancy for most large dogs - so there could be problems unrelated to the surgery going on. Time has passed, let us know how you struggle is going, I'll be looking for some good news.
Avatar m tn Why Has this medication been removed from presription in the pharmacies. They are offering the generic Rannitidine instead and it is not as effective.

Avatar n tn Sometimes the act of vomiting can cause bleeding in the stomach and subsequent vomiting will have blood in it.It is ok to give her zantac 75 and feed small meals but if she vomits again or act depressed she should be seen right away.
Avatar f tn Dont let your dogs be too close to the baby and dont leave your dogs alone with your baby. Get your dogs in a good consistent routine of feeding, exercising, and down time. That will help them adjust to when your baby is here and you wont have all time to focus on them.
2065896 tn?1373685384 Yep, prednisone (long-term) can cause diabetes both in humans and dogs. One of our dogs (a Toy Fox Terrier) was on prednisone for about 8 months due to health problems including allergies, he developed diabetes, and now is on insulin and a low-carbohydrate diet. (I think it's more likely in dogs to cause diabetes, I was on prednisone at high doses from 2-14 years old and I have some long-term side effects that do remain but I don't have diabetes.) Have you tried adjusting her diet?
