3055148 tn?1368211800 Has anyone ever taken Zantac? My doctor told me to take that everyday instead of taking tums b/c they are pointless, but I kinda don't wanna take medicine.
7349088 tn?1390657733 Has anyone taken zantac during pregnancy for heartburn? I'm 22+5 and have heartburn almost every other day. Sometimes it's so bad that I just want to sleep so i don't feel it.
Avatar n tn I've been dealing with gerd issues for the last half year. Colonoscopy and endoscopy were negative. I did do a series of rolling barium stomach xray which did show my stomach was on a roller coaster ride. I've been on most of the meds for gerd, from Zantac to Nexium to Lansoprazole to Pantoprazole. In December I started to develope numbness in my left foot and right hand. (Last night I noticed my left anke was swollen.
593603 tn?1229378162 Does anyone know if you can take Zantac 75 during your first trimester for heartburn? I took it with my first pregnancy, but it was a lot later in the pregnancy. I am dying here, and need a fix.
Avatar m tn She is full term baby delivered by c-section with birth weight of 7.12lbs. She had a breathing problem after birth which was due to improper absorption of fluid in lungs for which she was kept on nasal canula oxygen for 4 - 5 days in NICU. She had diaper rash couple of times. She had Viral meningitis (Undetectable virus) at 50 days old for which she was in ICU for 3 days. In her 7th month she had cold and otitis media of one ear for which she was given antibiotics.
Avatar m tn Over-the-counter medicines Prevacid taken WITH either Pepcid or Zantac will decrease the stomach acid causing the GERD symptoms. Sleeping with a wedge under your mattress so your chest is higher than your stomach may help. If you could stand to lose a few pounds, lose them. Do not self-medicate with Prevacid and Zantac or Pepcid for more than 2 weeks. You need to be examined with a scope, to look down your throat, even if your saliva build-up stops.
Avatar f tn I am a 29 yr old female, 5'11", 230lbs. I take Zantac 150 for heartburn. I was recently informed I have scoliosis. I frequently wake up in the middle of the night. I have fairly regular small muscle spasms all over my body. Otherwise, I'm pretty normal, no other health issues. For the past 2 weeks I have been having this deep feeling soreness beneath my left pectoral muscle. It's not a muscle ache as the pain doesn't go away when I flex that muscle.
Avatar f tn My doctor refused a referal to a Pediatric GI specialist, and refused to switch from Zantac to a PPI. My doctor pretty much said the reasons behind my childs behavior is due to over feeding....I was not happy to say the least. So in an outrage I packed a diaper bag, made some bottles and flew my hiney to the closest ER with Conner.
Avatar m tn The first one would be to take an over the counter medicine like Zantac for example before you go to bed. If you are taking any other medication please ask your doctor or pharmacist if there would be any reaction between the two. The second thing I would try would be to try and sleep propped up some. Kind of like sleeping in a recliner. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn The tightness in my throat makes it feel as if someone has their hand on my throat and occasionally makes me feel like I am not getting enough air when I am having no problems breathing. I am being treated for GERD (Zantac 150mg twice a day) and allergies (NasalCrom four times a day). I also use a neti pot once a day which has basically eliminated my post-nasal drip, and the NasalCrom helps with swelling. I still experience reflux on the Zantac, it just does not hurt.
Avatar f tn He tested for a large variety of autoimmune disorders. The doctor is treating my symptoms with Zantac, Zyrtec, and Singulair. I still wake up to hives every morning. And do not get any new ones during the day. I want to solve the problem at the source. Can anyone help me?
Avatar m tn I took Zantac because I had gastritis symptoms. Now I hear that Zantac causes cancer and wished I never went to pills for relief. How long does it take for cancer to appear after you've taken Zantac? I've heard the NDMA in Zantac causes full body cancers in every organ.... This seems like a intentionally made drug to induce cancer.
Avatar n tn Hi......Zantac is not an antidepressant it's prescribed for heartburn. Is there another medication she's been prescribed that maybe you got confused with the Zantac?
Avatar m tn I realize this could be a muscular tear or joint dysfunction but have some real Health Anxiety of a swollen tonsillar node that my ENT is watching (enlarged and a little more firm, but have history of mono and chronic throat infections). I've developed two peptic ulcers (in the last month, endoscopy/biopsy showed no signs of H-pylori, just two peptic ulcers). Gastro doctor said Peptic Ulcer disease (and overuse of NSAIDs).
Avatar f tn Go pick up zantac 150 or 75 mg. If 75 mg take 1 pill twice daily and then take tums as needed. Zantac should prevent the heartburn but if it doesnt work on occasion take tums (i normally take 4 extra strength tums or 2 ultra strength at a time) I was prescribed zantac 75 mg twice a day with my first baby and told to take tums if for some reason zantac doesnt help so its perfectly safe!
Avatar f tn Without a review of a complete history, physical exam, lab results and medication list, I can't give you an exact diagnosis or treatment plan. In acid reflux disease, acid from your stomach gets into your esophagus, throat and mouth. Stomach acid can irritate all of these structures.
9616417 tn?1404867488 Im in my 7th week and my acid reflux is aweful! Does anyone know if Zantac is safe? Tums are not working...
4268628 tn?1375041176 So I bought some OTC zantac like my doc suggested today only to get home, takeone, and realize I accidentally grabbed the 150mg when I was only supposed to take 75. Is thus a major issue I should call in to the on call Dr about or just let it go?
