Zantac gas bloating

Common Questions and Answers about Zantac gas bloating

zantac

Avatar f tn Im 11 weeks pregnant and just "popped". My question is how to relieve gas, pressure and bloating? I know about watching your diet and what you eat and drink, I have even tried drinking baking soda water. I am extremely uncomfortable, any opinions?
Avatar f tn I went to my computer and looked up bloating, Metformin, afib. All signs pointed to GERD can cause afib. And Metformin can cause gas, bloating, digestive upset. The pieces of the puzzle were put together. I just happened to have gas-x in my bathroom and immediately took 2. Within one hour the gas and bloating were gone and so was the afib. I literally got on my knees and prayed that I was on the right path to health.

I literally got on my knees and prayed that I was on the right path to health. I stopped the Metformin for a few days to give my stomach a rest and took zantac 300 twice a day. No palpitations or afib. I was amazed. I am now on Metformin ER (which has less side affects) and with it I take a zantac. I have had no afib.

Avatar f tn The ever shrinking space for your stomach can cause extra pressure and discomfort after you eat. Gas and bloating are also worse during pregnancy. Try to avoid carbonated drinks and try not to eat too fast, because you will swallow more air, increasing the gas and bloating. Check with your doctor first, but you should be able to take simethicone for the gas and Zantac for indigestion/heartburn, but as I said, verify that your doctor is okay with you taking those, most docs are.

Avatar f tn At times it feels like extreme gas, pressure, and bloating. Worse after I eat..but hurts all the time. My bowel habits have changed...sometimes go up to two times a day..usually I am lucky if I go 1 time in three weeks. I am not sure what is going on...thinking gall bladder or ulcer. I have no health insurance so I usually put pain off until I can't handle it any longer. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. I am 28 and I do not smoke...Have gained some weight within last year.
Avatar f tn Also after I eat dinner, I get super bloated and have really bad gas pains. I can feel the gas pressure under my ribs. Any other time I eat I feel perfectly fine. Anyone else experience this? Any way to get relief? I've just been going to bed right after I eat because I hurt so bad.
Avatar m tn Hi everybody, For the last few years I've struggled with constant heartburn and gerd. I've had to go to the E.R. at 4 in the morning because I inhaled stomach acid in my sleep. I started taking tums, then Zantac 75, then Zantac 150, then pentoprazole. I couldn't keep paying 90 bucks a refil, so I ended up having to take between 5 and 8 of the Zantac 150 every day to keep it under control. Now it seems I have a new symptom.
Avatar m tn These occur when I eat a large meal or have lots of gas/bloating. I find the main culprits for bloating, for me, are raw garlic & onions. Check out these discussion of the same symptoms: http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Heart-Disease/Stomach-Gas-and-Arrythmia/show/337994 http://www.medhelp.

Avatar n tn Gas and bloating and trapped gas - is common if your certin medications , as they can cause this to happen/ as well with acid reflux , you should be taking somekind of med for it (to stop it from happening) gas can cause palps to happen in some cases. yes it depends what your eatting too! try and eat as blan as you can - dont drink soda pop's fizzy drinks - eat slow and try to keep the mouth closed when eatting, dont talk while eatting. as air gets down inside you - thus gas builds up.
872925 tn?1239869070 My husband & doctor (dh is a pharmacist) believe it or not let me take Gas-X for my bloating as that seemed to help me but I was severly constipated too which was part of the problem. The indigestion & bloating are both very normal during pregnancy - you could try the above OTC & you could also ask about taking Tums. It's a mild antacid. There's also eating small meals - don't eat a whole lot at one time, try 7-up or Ginger-ale & soda crackers.
Avatar m tn Doc did try to treat my symptoms with Nexium, Prilosec, Zantac, Prevacid, with no relief, I have tried Gas X, Fleet enema, Milk of magnesia, Epson salt, which cleans out my system, but still feel severe pressure, as if my stomach and intestines are majorly swollen or about to burst. Sometimes my chest gets super tight, as if air is trapped, and I have to burp real bad, but can't, or feel I have to pass major gas, but nothing happens, even after taking Gas X,.
Avatar m tn Hi, I have been having trouble breathing, swallowing, bloating in the abdominal region that shifts between center, left and right, along with a sharp pain that will occasionally go through there. This has been ongoing since Saturday evening September 3rd til now September 5th. (over 2 days). Taking antacid (equate maximum strength) does not help the issue I am having.

Avatar f tn Simethicone for gas pains (Gas-X, Maalox Anti-Gas, Mylanta Gas, Mylicon)
Avatar n tn Any help on what I should do??? About a week ago I woke up at 1am with sharp pains/gas and could not get comfortable or go back to sleep, the following day the pain persisted and got so bad I had to go to urgent care. The Dr. did an x-ray and found a large air pocket below my left rib cage as well as more air pockets and stool in my entire abdominal region. He prescribed a bottle of Magnesium Citrate to loosen me up.
Avatar n tn If you produce flatulence(Gas)that cannot be released in the common way, bloating can occur. If you have not tried any of the anti-gas products sold in supermarket pharmacies, maybe you should experiment to discover whether the products help to remove the gas. If you have regular bowel movements, you should expell enough gas to prevent a gas build-up in your intestines. Good luck.
