Avatar f tn I have one question abt Zantac. Before going to bed...if can i take zantac,is it helpful to get hours sleep. Please help me....Now i am 9 weeks...next week i want to fly around 7 hrs...i am so worried abt that also....
280369 tn?1316702041 I probably asked this before, but is taking zantac on a daily basis or a few times a week a bad thing in pregnancy? I'm just about 32 weeks and have had the worst acid reflux this pregnancy and have tried every natural thing out there. For a while, just drinking grapefruit juice got rid of it, but now it does nothing. Tums have even stopped working. I am not one to take medicines or pop a pill unless I absolutely have to, and that's pregnant or not pregnant.
Avatar n tn It also might help to avoid eating or drinking for two hours before you lie down. To help control the stomach acid, one should not drink alcohol or drinks with caffeine in them, or eat chocolate or spicy or greasy foods . Take some OTC antacid like Mylanta. You can also take zantac(ranitidine)or prilosec (omeprazole). These will help. Also keep your fluid electrolyte balance optimum by drinking lots of fluids. If the symptoms worsen then it may be due to H.Pylori infection.
Avatar f tn I only drink lactose free milk, people will say soy milk but I think lactaid taste better, I have pretty much cut out fried food and sweets completely. If I do know I will be eating out I take a Zantac before and usually have no issues with reflux. It's been bagels, grilled chicken, and pretty much anything else bland you can think of lol but beats throwing up stomach acid lol.
Avatar f tn I swear nothing helps me other than taking zantac. I really hate drinking milk but I will have a glass if I need to since I don't like taking any medications. Is there anything else I can do? Any tips?
Avatar f tn Don't eat 2 hours before bed. Sleeping slightly elevated helps too.
4371309 tn?1357956329 for heartburn you can try drinking milk, or medication wise tums and zantac 75mg or 150 up to twice a day is ok to take during pregnancy, personally zantac is what has worked best for me
Avatar f tn Go pick up zantac 150 or 75 mg. If 75 mg take 1 pill twice daily and then take tums as needed. Zantac should prevent the heartburn but if it doesnt work on occasion take tums (i normally take 4 extra strength tums or 2 ultra strength at a time) I was prescribed zantac 75 mg twice a day with my first baby and told to take tums if for some reason zantac doesnt help so its perfectly safe!
Avatar f tn I'm the same too...
280369 tn?1316702041 t find a comfortable position to sit in or lay down in, I had trouble breathing, the acid just kept coming up my throat and burned and drinking water just made it worse and I got really nauseous as well. Is it okay to take one when I need it? Can it cause any issues? Is it bad to take it everyday IF I had to? Thankfully so far today I've been okay.
Avatar f tn Milk work for me I even try zantac 150 before meals but I stop using it cause baby lighting so I'm no longer having that problem
