These drugs are in different classes, but even similar drugs don't substitute for one another as they target different receptors. You could be in withdrawal from the Zoloft. By the way, do you mean psychiatrist? Psychologists can't prescribe drugs, at least in the US.

They only did a TSH test which came back normal 2.15 (0.34-5.60) They put me on zoloft, and zantac for acid reflux and are referring me to a cardiologist. When I went back to Dr. for follow up I told her about everything and she put me on a beta blocker propanolol for heartrate and did more labs to see if I am magnesium deficient.

Has anyone taken zantac during pregnancy for heartburn? I'm 22+5 and have heartburn almost every other day. Sometimes it's so bad that I just want to sleep so i don't feel it.

I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?

I've just started taking zantac, and I don't know if I'll have any side effects, or if my regular symptoms (stomach pain, upset stomach) will become apparent or come back. My question is this; if I get nauseous, stomach pain, upset stomach etc. as a side effect or other, can I take tums to calm my stomach down? Or will it just make things worse? I can't talk to my doctor because (a) don't have an appointment and (b) am too young to drive there or get an appointment myself.

After month upon month of frustration, the wife goes and buys hubby some extra strength Zantac and within three hours he was wanting a cheeseburger. Can you please tell me if you can take Nexium 40mg. and Zantac 75mg. together or on the same day. Go pick up zantac 150 or 75 mg. If 75 mg take 1 pill twice daily and then take tums as needed. Zantac should prevent the heartburn but if it doesnt work on occasion take tums (i normally take 4 extra strength tums or 2 ultra strength at a time) I was prescribed zantac 75 mg twice a day with my first baby and told to take tums if for some reason zantac doesnt help so its perfectly safe!

Breakthrough panic attacks possibly. I've had them when I first started taking Zoloft. And also get the esophageal spasms and a heart rate as high as 160. It's scary. I was on Zoloft five years and weened off two months ago. Was doing good until last week. Went back on my Zoloft yesterday. It takes a couple weeks to adjust to it. Now my doc has me on Gaviscon (OH MY GOSH IS THAT BAD) plus Reglan at night which makes your stomach go crazy so if I take the norco it helps for a couple of hours after that a couple more norco in the afternoon and my stomach feels upset for about 6 hours it drives you crazy when you go to the doctor and they just double up on your meds and it doesnt help. By taking a medication off prescription and making it OTC the NHS saves money and the pharmaceutical company make more money because presumably more people will by it when they don't need a prescription. The reason you think Rannitidine is less effective is because the placebo effect has been removed.In fact both drugs are equally effective. Otherwise the generic version would not have been licenced.

I have been having really bad anxiety on and off. The Dr. gave me Zoloft and it seems to have helped with my anxiety. But as it is I have a very hard time getting restful sleep. When I do sleep I have ongoing dreams and my mind doesn't get any rest. Now with the Zoloft my sleep is much less restful. Any suggestions?

I looked up the side effects of Zoloft and tachycardia or any arrhythmia for that matter is not listed. You may want to ask your doctor about this. It could be some anxiety but the Zoloft should be helping with that by now. Take care.

Before, my regular routine was taking the zoloft first and my anxiety took over and always made me so nervous in the mornings I would have to take the clonazepam shortly after the zoloft. Is there something stronger than zoloft that may help my severe anxiety better? Thank you so much.

I thought I was done with this feeling nauseous stuff its so uncomfortable now and I had a severe sharpness in my back all over it hurt so bad but after a hour it went away has anyone else experienced this
