I kept it with my first and it's starting with my 2nd. I just plan on it staying around again. I rake Zantac 150 in the morning and night.
I have had different sysmptons for months mostly throat burning and mid sternum pain alternating with soreness. I was put on prilosec with no difference then zantac 300 mg and now nexium. The zantac showed improvement. Then went to a gastro and he changed me to 40 mg Nexium with marked improvement. I had an ultrasound, hyda scan both normal. I then had an endoscopy that showed stomach was irritated and and a raw spot in my esophagus. It appeared to be healing.
I take the Walmart brand of Zantac sometimes twice a day. I took it for the last 3 to 4 months Of my first pregnancy and it never went away and so when I got pregnant again I took it and get bad and the Dr said 2 a day was safe and so here I am baby 3 and taking it and all my babies are fine :-D take a Zantac don't struggle.
if i may chime in...
did you nurse and pump or only pump? It is possible your supply tanked simply because some people don't respond well to pumps, or you didn't have a good pump (hospital grade), or you didn't pump frequently enough (15 minutes every 2 hours). Like Peek said, it could've been totally out of your hands. I know someone who tried every pump under the sun but couldn't get a drop. When her son finally learned to nurse months later, she had plenty to nourish him.
Hey ladies I'm about 9.5 weeks and currently am having constant avid reflux. I remember having it with my last pregnancy but not this bad! Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, what are you doing for remedies?
With my first TUMS worked during the first trimester however by the 3rd trimester if I ate past 5pm I would either cough so bad it would make me throw up or I would wake up chocking on stomach acid I spit up and inhaled...only thing that worked was Prilosec but they said I could only take it for 2 weeks...this pregnancy I've been on Prilosec since the beginning and NO heartburn unless I forget to take the medicine for a few days...it has been awesome!
Thanks y'all!!! Baby was really high yesterday and it was horrible. He moved down a bit and bam! Acid reflux gone lollllll. But I'm sure it will make its way back.
Hello I'm 36 weeks and I have acid reflux so so bad it's making me miserable, I have it all day and night every day is there anything I can take for it I don't go to my doctor until Tuesday and I can't stand it anymore

I'm 21+2 and i've been having alot of acid reflux which began a little over a week ago.. Normally when i burp or cough but then at times out of no where. I had a little something different a bit ago where it actually caused me to throw up some.
What causes acid reflux and if it gets to the point where i throw up is that normal or could something else be causing the throwing up??
Take a shot of white vinegar, it'll be sour and nasty.And burn for a minute but it'll work and control your acid reflux as well as heart burn and indigestion.

felt fine the first two weeks and ate everything i wanted. then problems started and dctr said it was acid reflux. put me on priolosac and gained 4 lbs. the first week (on a low fat diet and eating nothing practically) Then tried without it on apple vinegar pills and beano before meals. had some relief but not all the time. monday he put me on aciphex and i had severe headaches and sweating, but it cleared up acid reflux right away. Was wondering if i could try Zantac.
Have you considered drinking alkaline water for reflux? I haven't had this problem yet but my DH is a regular with acidity and reflux problems and we have this alkaline water pitcher at home thar we use...he finds it to relieve his acidity symptoms without having to take any antacids.
So I've been dealing with extreme acid reflux & i can't take it anymore. Its been every night for a week & a half.

Abby is a month old...has the same reflux issues except the Zantac hasnt worked and now the Previcid isnt working. We have to take her monday to see a pediatric GI dr. WTF?!?! I was hoping my first was a fluke thing...I guess I just produce reflux babies. Anyone else dealing with this?? Any tips or suggestions?? I am nursing and staying away from dairy...I feel so bad for my baby girl.
