zantac and gripe water

hey momma, the label on gripe water says not to use gripe water until baby is 2 months old, but you can use infacol from birth. my BD asked midwife about whether we should give baby boy it but she said as long as they burping and farting okay then we don;t need to use it, only if baby stops passing gas. Try not to let baby feel your anxiousness - if it was one time, baby shouldn't remember that the next time you lift them unless you are constantly anxious.

Okay im a ftm and I keep hearing about gripe water. What are the ingredients?

Gripe water is all natural but try to buy the alcohol free kind. It should be in most drug stores. Dosage usually goes by weight and is marked on the bottle. I think for my 9lb daughter it was 1/2 tsp.

I do give him gas drops and gripe water and also burp him after every oz. It helps for the most part. But he still seems to be in so much pain. Maybe that's the acid coming up and down his throat. And I will also start to give his the sailine drops.. It's weird because he's only like this at night time.. and I get absolutely no sleep because of this. He sleeps and eats no problem during day. I'm hoping tonight things will get better.

Gripe water is a life saver. Used for hiccups and upset tummy. It's just basically water and ginger. I use mommys bliss brand.

Has anyone taken zantac during pregnancy for heartburn? I'm 22+5 and have heartburn almost every other day. Sometimes it's so bad that I just want to sleep so i don't feel it.

is any one having a problem with baby gas, my son always has gas, and he screams because of it, and then after he passes gas he relaxes, is any one having this problem, and if you are what did you do to make your child better, I am giving semethicone and gripe water but it seems like he got better for a couple days then it comes back, I hate seeing him in pain, I took him to the doctor and he said to give him semethicone but there should be something better that I could do, what do you think???

I love zantac! With my first i got heartburn after EVERYTHING. I couldnt even drink water without getting heartburn. Zantac stopped most of it i then stopped taking 20 tums a day anfld only needed them maybe once every few days (not at all if i remembered to take my zantac first thing in the morning and at night!

Gripe water can be put in babys milk or use a syringe and give it like medication ..

I give my 3 month old a warm bath around 730, give her gripe water, swaddled her and breastfeed her and she sleeps through the night! Good luck!

i know they say hiccups dont harm them or bother them but sometimes they are big hiccups and i feel bad so yes either gripe water or feed them a little more milk...

I used it and I put in the bottle but with 1oz water and a scoop of formula than finished with the rest of the feeding after baby finished.

Have you tried using infacol or gripe water? They're not brilliant, but do help a little with wind. If it is really bad, speak to your health visitor, they might be able to tell you if there is something a doctor could prescribe tl help. Maybe constipation how are her bowel movements is she eating well ? ..You can get some gripe water now and other remedies for cholic ask your Dcotor if he thinks that would be okay .Most babies go through a cholicky phase, it gets uncomfrtable especially at night, make sure she is well burped .

Gripe water, gas drops before each meal and burping baby after every ounce helped my daughter. My daughter is on enfamil prosobee. She's lactose intolerant. ..maybe look into that.
