zantac and gastritis

I took Zantac because I had gastritis symptoms. Now I hear that Zantac causes cancer and wished I never went to pills for relief. How long does it take for cancer to appear after you've taken Zantac? I've heard the NDMA in Zantac causes full body cancers in every organ.... This seems like a intentionally made drug to induce cancer.

I have acid reflux and afib and they are definitely related. I am taking Prevacid but sometimes wonder if it has any effect on my irregular beats. I was on Zantac for about a year, then my anti-arrhythmic meds had to be increased and I had to go back to a PPI. I will try the gaviscon and see if that helps. Do you know if it interacts with warfarin? It seems many drugs do. Stress (lots of adrenaline) brings on my af episodes, as well as caffeine, spicy food, too little sleep.

Symptoms are - acidic horrible taste in my mouth as what started this, occaisonal mucous in throat that makes me cough, iron belly with slight occaisonal burning. Started taking Pantaloc and than Zantac. Pantaloc caused me to run to the bathroom. Zantac seems better but doesn't really do much for the acid taste in the mouth and rarely helps the stomach. Endoscopy was doen to confirm the gastritis. I guess what I really want to know is.....the acidic taste or coating in the mouth....

Nothing works for me ! I went to my Dr yesterday and she prescribed me sofran 8mg and zantac! And it seems to help me a lot!! But I still burp very often!!!!

but having palpitations and not sure if its the stupid Zantac!! Took it earlier and after an hour I started feeling weak sleepy some light chest pain head pressure. I can't gain weight but not able to add extra calories yet.....not losing anymore.....trying to maintain.....I'm between 88-92 PDS now for the past few months and I don't know what to do!! I don't see gastro Dr til Oct. Do u think enzymes/probiotic will help me???? Where do I get them???

Now i developed,Gasitrics problem, as from yesterday night i have stomach pain (just below rib area). Now doctor prescribed me ZANTAC to treat gastrics and adviced to stop NSAID completely and bare the pain. Now please advice the below 1) Whether my gasitrics is curable? 2) How long it will take to cure 3) What do and dont i need to follow during this gasitrics period 4) even after taking zantac mild stomach buring is there, how to cure it.

I was 230 pounds (I am a 41 year old female) when it started and after two months I got down to 207 pounds. Two weeks ago, most of my pain went away and I started eating normally again and the acid reflux was controlled through diet. I have not lost any more weight.

I got severe muscle cramps as side effects from that and went back to the urgent care and they gave me zantac instead. Still the same dosis of 2 /day. It all started end of June 2015. The dr eho prescribed zantac also mentioned it could come from the gallbladder but there would be no test to confirm that now (super weird reading all about it now). In September 2015 I had an egd done and the dr confirmed the gastritis. I had no ulcers and no bacterial infection.

It started with heart palpitations and vomiting, then i had abdominal or gas pain. stomach feels uncomfortable after eating.i went to a physician and he prescribed me zantac. i also had my blood checked for a deficiency in anything. results were norma except that i had a UTI infection. now i'm on zantac and an antibiotic. unfortunately i'm struggling with extreme fatigue upon standing, rapid heart rate some coughing and sometimes dizziness. This has been going on for three weeks.

am on kapidex PPI and zantac 300 for the gastritis......had fundoplication in May and still have pain every day........am really getting discouraged.

Today, I take one Prilosec, 20-mg, and I have no pain. If you have gastritis and are not taken medication specifically for gastritis, your stomach lining can become worst, and you might develop an ulcer. If I were you, I would require your doctor, not his office staff, to confirm whether or not you have/had an ulcer caused by H. pylori? Also, inquire whether an acid reducer like Prilosec, Zantac, Nexium, Prevacid is prescribed for you?

Did you ever heal form your Gastritis? I can't take Nexium or Zantac or anything like that because it causes me bad reactions. How did you heal?

I tried Kapidex which also worked perfectly for about 3 months and then completely stopped working. Zantac worked for about a month and is now subsiding. My doctor has added carafate, but the pains are still not gone. They usually come when I haven't eaten for a while and let myself get hungry at all. I try to eat every 2-3 hours but am not always able to. I had an endoscopy recently which showed some gastritis and irritation, but nothing else. I tested negative for H. Pylori.

i am on daily meds like; losec 40 mg /ulcogant / and zantac . is this really only a severe gastritis? or something else going on? like can this be bile duct obstruction ? since i don't have a gallbladder? please help !! any more sugestion?

About 3 months ago I was violently sick on an empty stomach and after that started getting stomach pains, I felt like I had damaged something during the vomiting. I was diagnosed with gastritis and tried ppis which didn't help, then some homeopathic remedies and now on high strength Zantac which helps a little. I pretty much have a moderate stomach pain all the time which gets worse with any irritating food so I have been sticking to a bland diet.

Do you think that my stomach is just beat up because all the antibiotics and I need to stop worrying and just give it time and the Zantac to heal it? That is what I hope at least.

My throat burns like crazy I am concerned about further damage to my esophagus and stomach. I took the zantac for the 1st time last night. It took a while for it to start to help. However I woke up in the middle of the night burning again. I took another pill even though I was not due for several hours. He originally wanted to give me pepcid. However, I tried that over the counter this weekend & my BP skyrocketed.

Has anyone experienced Acid Reflux, Lactose Intolerance & Gastritis all at once? I've been put on a restricted diet due to all 3, this is my 3rd baby & I have NEVER experienced any of the 3 issues before.

my husband is experiencing some strange and rather disgusting symptoms. he is 32 years old. Last night he was complaining of stomach upset(MINOR) when he woke up he had developed what I can only describe as mouth gas. VERY smelly belches. also severe diarhea. I barely eat and lost 25 lbs. I am on omeprazole 40mg and Zantac 75. I was put on sucralfate 1gm twice a day. I was on thyroid pills for all my life. It has been inconsistant for a year now. My heart skips beats so I had a thyroid test and my levels were normal so I was taken off the pills since I quit taking them for 2 weeks. I will get my thyroid checked once again this month. My question is do I still take all these pills. What can I eat that does not produce Bile and easy on my stomach.
