Avatar f tn There's nothing you can do while pregnant since milk doesn't come in until after birth. I use this herbal tincture called mother's milk, it helps to bring in your breast milk at an increased volume. It doesn't always work for everyone but it does work for me and has for one of my friends that I have bought it for. You can purchase it from amazon if you're interested.
Avatar f tn The tea helps to strengthen ur uterus muscles. It is extremely healthy while pregnant & not. It has essential vitamins and minerals for you & baby. It isnot rrecommended in 1st trimester, but can be taking in 2nd & 3rd u just have to watch ur intake. By 35weeks if ur not high risk or having complications u should drink up to 5 cups a week & u can drink up to a liter a day. It actually exercises the uterus muscle.
Avatar f tn I'm actually ok with milk in my tea,i just can't drink a large amount of milk.it's annoying because i like milk and its good for you too.
Avatar m tn Consumption of this tea should be discouraged, as it may be associated with life-threatening lactic acidosis. Kombucha, popularly called kombucha mushroom, a combination of yeast species and acid forming bacteria, that was quite popular in the US in the mid to late 1990s, but has since not been in the limelight. Some people called it kombucha mushroom but technically it is a symbiosis of several yeast species and bacteria http://www.raysahelian.com/kombucha.
Avatar f tn My actual milk didn't come in until 4 days after birth. Colostrum is very important to feed your baby. Couple days after birth squeeze your boobs and milk will literally shoot across the room haha.
Avatar f tn I had a very difficult nursing experience with my first. It sure can hurt! So I ended up doing a lot of pumping. I kept supply up by always continuing to pump for 5-10 minutes after the milk stopped coming. You could also drink "mother's milk" tea. I don't like tea so I didn't do it myself but most of my many sisters-in-law did and had great success keeping (or getting) milk supply up.

Avatar f tn When should I start drinking mothers milk herbal tea?
Avatar f tn I'm going to ask my doctor before drinking it, but I was wondering if anyone has drank mothers milk tea while pregnant? I'm 35w5d and I want to breastfeed. My biggest fear is not being able to or not making enough milk. I wanted to know if it's safe while pregnant. Thanks in advance!
Avatar f tn Pump 8-10 times per day. You can also try power pumping, where you pump for 10 min take a 10 min break, then pump for 10 minutes repeat during the course of an hour. This will tell your body that it needs to make more milk. It's all about supply and demand, the more frequently you remove, the more you will make. Don't let yourself become engorged, that will tell your body that it is producing too much.
Avatar f tn I plan to breastfeed my baby and my friend bought me some Mother's Milk organic tea. Have any of you ladies tried it? Does it work? Is it safe for you and baby?
Avatar f tn There is a mother milk tea. I beleive target sells it. Allot of skin to skin with the baby and warm compresses on your chest. Also I usually only pumped while I was feeding him. I would do it the same time.
Avatar f tn Your feelings are normal and I was that way too. I had my son on May 2nd and got my milk on May 6th. The first few days was colostrum and since my son was starving (and I was dead tired), I ended up breaking down and giving him formula. I still supplement with maybe 2 ounces of Similac once a day. Make sure from the time of your baby's birth that you're feeding him exclusively every 2-3 hours.
Avatar f tn It's not necessary "bad" but I'd suggest limiting your intake. The reason is because most Thai tea are made from black tea. Out of all the teas, black and red tea has the most caffeine content. On top of that, Thai teas have a lot of sugar in them. It's made from condensed milk + evaporated milk. So it's fatty + sugar + caffeine in one cup. It's tasty I know!
4408078 tn?1358058398 i went and got mothers milk tea and fenugreek pills at a natural foods store and my milk production has been great ever since.
315996 tn?1429054229 I hate to bring bad news but I have read that any kind of milk added to tea or coffee louses up the benefits. I can't remember the particulars . Jim posted something about milk wrecking the good in coffee a long time ago...something about the combo causing carcinogens. If I remember correctly, the milk added to tea binds the very thing that causes the benefit . I don't like milk in tea but I have added vanilla soy milk to coffee and it wasn't bad.
7358510 tn?1427032173 s also something called mothers milk tea that is sold in target or babies r us. But the best thing to do is latch baby on as much as possible. The more the bab latches on the more milk your body will produce. My cousin is a lactation and thats what sh always recommends. Good luck.
