Avatar f tn Milk can take 3 days to 1 week to come in. Before it does you make colostrum (liquid gold), there is not much but it is awesome for baby. If you are worried about milk supply, there are some ways to boost it, fenugreek greek, mother's milk tea, basil essential oil, fennel essential oil, and maxi milk are just a few. The book, 'so that's what they're for' is great as well. Good luck!
Avatar f tn 28 weeks here, and officially have insomnia... Or something. I can't get comfortable for ANYTHING (which never was a problem until very recently), and I am just so restless at night. I didn't fall asleep until 4am last night, and I have to be up at 630 5 days a week for school. I really want to take sleep aids, but don't know if it's safe. I can't live like this. ): do you have any suggestions to make it easier to fall asleep?
Avatar f tn U should not drink that tea while prego. U may/may not start producing milk early. It is fine if U don't. My last 2 babies I never got milk before having them. I nursed my 1st for 2yrs & my 2nd until 14 months (when I got prego w baby 3). The trick to nursing is really getting the baby to latch right & being consistent w it. Do not introduce a bottle to the baby for as long as possible unless Ur going to primarily be pumping.
6579347 tn?1388502368 Hi, there - I've been dealing with some pain associated with a bulging lumbar disc. My ortho gave me an Rx for gabapentin (neurontin), and said I might find some relief by trying flaxseed oil and green tea extract. I had gone weeks without any anxiety blips. Avatar f tn Your feelings are normal and I was that way too. I had my son on May 2nd and got my milk on May 6th. The first few days was colostrum and since my son was starving (and I was dead tired), I ended up breaking down and giving him formula. I still supplement with maybe 2 ounces of Similac once a day. Make sure from the time of your baby's birth that you're feeding him exclusively every 2-3 hours.
Avatar f tn It's not necessary "bad" but I'd suggest limiting your intake. The reason is because most Thai tea are made from black tea. Out of all the teas, black and red tea has the most caffeine content. On top of that, Thai teas have a lot of sugar in them. It's made from condensed milk + evaporated milk. So it's fatty + sugar + caffeine in one cup. It's tasty I know!

315996 tn?1429054229 I hate to bring bad news but I have read that any kind of milk added to tea or coffee louses up the benefits. I can't remember the particulars . Jim posted something about milk wrecking the good in coffee a long time ago...something about the combo causing carcinogens. If I remember correctly, the milk added to tea binds the very thing that causes the benefit . I don't like milk in tea but I have added vanilla soy milk to coffee and it wasn't bad.
