Avatar f tn NA and AA are there, real, and more than able and willing to grab your hand when you start to fall. You just have to reach for theirs. The real work is recovery---long term. I am so grateful for all my angels for all the support and look forward to continuing this journey with all. But I am also going to be using every tool that I can find to try and ensure that I don't need to start this ride over. Grateful for all these posts. Always love. Keep posting.
Avatar dr m tn Besides the various stresses of travel, including delayed flights, misplaced luggage, or traveling with children, the last thing you need is to lay down in your hotel bed, and start tossing and turning, unable to sleep. On the other hand, you can go to sleep with no problems, but wake up feeling like you slept for only 3 hours. This can happen due to worrying about your lost luggage, persistent ear pain and hearing loss since getting off the plane, or an uncomfortable mattress or pillow.
Avatar m tn As you suggested, I can also only recommend anyone in an office setting to set up an automated audio recording. Of course it's not legal and feels completely unethical. But believe me, it will REALLY ease your mind to hear that the reactions you always attributed to yourself are also present when you're not there. That observation might not mean we are completely delusional, but it will show that we definitely became paranoid to the point that we think every cough, sneeze, ..., is because of us.
Avatar f tn yes something is definitely wrong, you should chec your gynie to ensure dat its labour pain you may be experiencing
Avatar f tn The upside to a vbac is they give you and epidural as soon as you go into labor (so you will be ready in case of an emergency c) and they should monitor the baby the entire time you are in labor. Also it is very important that the hospital you deliver in has a dr to do the c section at the hospital 24/7 because if you need an emergency c it will have to be done quick in case of a tear in your uterus. Do your research and do what is right for you.
Avatar f tn Those reflections will help ultimately on our data collections. Things like, your diet, your environment, the people you hang out with, your previous girl-friends if possible etc. For example, is patm infectious? Perhaps yes but really difficult. Many sufferers believe it’s caused by gut microbes but there’s a big anomaly that can’t be addressed. Every bug causing disease in the gut is infectious for example, i.e.
Avatar dr m tn Every time you get a cold, notice how it usually starts in the throat with a tickle, a scratch, or a slight cough. It then progresses into chest congestion or travels up into the ears and the sinuses. You’ll have a low grade fever, mild chills, and a runny nose. Even if you start out with a runny nose, eventually, you’ll have throat symptoms later on. Sounds like a classic cold, right?
Avatar n tn this was not a risk for you. you've now been told this 3 times. hand jobs and then covering your mouth because of a sneeze isn't a risk at all. this also is not a risk for any other std's. Don't let the guilt of this encounter convince you you had risk when you didn't!
Avatar f tn This exposure therapy showed me that you cannot get HIV from touching a book, or shaking a hand or having someone sneeze in the room. After my exposure therapy, I had not more fears about HIV. In fact, I made a pact with myself that I would become a blood donor and do it as often as I could. I think I'm up to something like 16 donations now. You have tested negative so you have to say to yourself when the thought pops into your head "I'm scared I have HIV.
Avatar f tn I've had periods where I use an inhaler in as little as 7 days b/c of my frequent nocturnal attacks. Only recently did I read about asthma and apnea going hand in hand, this is what caught my attention. I don't know how to approach my doctor about it since he will likely tell me I'm not a 50 yr old man so don't worry about it. I'm also low on B12 so I have to get shots every month, but haven't found they helped the way I had hoped they would with my daily fatigue.
352007 tn?1372861481 It shouldn't be like that. Did he tell you what the neuro-radiologist thought about your MRIs? How do you feel about working in your profession? Do you feel safe to go back and feel like you know that you will be capable of responding quickly & appropriately to your patients? I'm sure that's hard to say, today - yes, tomorrow maybe - no. I don't know what to say....
170935 tn?1225374676 yes i have seen several docs and they think it is either an asthma related thing or due to allergies. In fact i've just been to see my gp again today and he reckons when you sneeze or cough your lungs release chemicals which can cause this sensation for some people???? Personally i'm starting to think it is probaly allergies. If your ears and throat can itch like crazy then why not your lungs???
1035252 tn?1427231433 were you scared at all in your pregnancy?
Avatar f tn Which came first the pain in arm or the cough. If the cough, then you could have pulled a muscle in your shoulder region and are feeling some referred pain. If you're not allergic to it, you could try some Ibuprofen over the counter as directed to see if that helps it. That's some good stuff for any inflammation that you may have going on, just be sure to always eat something with it so you don't get ulcerations in your stomach.
486038 tn?1300066967 You really shouldn't drive until you know what the heck is going on just in case. I hope you get some answers but you should even let your pcp know the situation because you may need care before you get in to see that new neuro right?
Avatar f tn For #4) if you ever have paralysis anywhere in your body, see you NS immediately. You may have numbness that comess and goes but if it persists, you need to see your NS . For pain management, I tried pain meds but none provided much relief and I could not take narcotic pain meds and continue to work. My best friend was my heating pad and if you have not tried this yet, I strongly recommend you do. I took it to work with me and sat ay desk with it plugged in all day.
Avatar n tn If that is the case, I do not see a place for a bipolar here sinc you do have an MRI showing a cervical cord compression and it does not sound 1-a vascular (though you mentioned a heart issue?..
1087609 tn?1260947985 You say alot of your symptoms are a come and go type thing. If you were in a flair up of MS symptoms, you would notice your symptoms lasting much longer, for weeks, possibly months at a time. Can they come and go throughout the day? Yes...especially if you are doing something that aggravates things, to cause the symptoms. There is alot of testing to go to rule out what the other posts have said are "mimics of MS.
1399033 tn?1449591379 Wasn't too bad but it was enough that DH said just call in and tell them you're coming. I got there and was in labor. Didn't even know it. They gave me some shots to stop the labor. And those things hurt! lol So, what were you doing and where were you when it happened?
Avatar f tn my ears all the time, you know when you close your nose with your fingers so you get pressure in you ears. (That's just because it makes me hear better for a few seconds though, but I look pretty strange when I'm doing it. Like I gonna jump in the water or something.) If I get exited about something I climb up on chairs while I talk. Oh, and I make perverse lyrics to children songs after sex.

Avatar f tn The SSRI stuff usually are not very effective on migraine. But on the other hand they might help you to rule out anxiety. I also think you should contact a chiari specialist if you have the opportunity because even if you don't have chiari, you can still have cranio-cervical instability issues and they can be very hard to spot. Chiari specialists are the best at spotting these conditions..
620923 tn?1452919248 You know you have chiari when you ask more questions than anyone else in your class. You know you have chiari when you put your head on your left hand for the millionth time and your hand slips for the first time. You know you have chiari when the doctor says you passed the strength test but you have massive strength loss in one hand that was explained away by a different disorder so the other hand shouldn't have been equal in strenght.
