Avatar f tn I've been suffering from back pain, probably from sitting at a desk for hours on end. My friend suggested visiting a GP who can now refer you to an osteopath. I'm afraid this will take weeks. Another friend suggested yoga therapy - does anyone know if this is available through your local GP?
Avatar f tn s prenatal yoga in YouTube. Its about half an hour video and she has simplified the asanas for pregnant women. I would recommend watching and doing one asana at a time so that you get the right muscles to work on. Don't forget to ask your doctor before starting and generally its a good idea to start and end the yoga with pranayam exercises like om-vilom, for warm up and cool down. Its not part of the video but you can find them too on you tube. all the best.
Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.

1099046 tn?1281009951 Is anyone else having low back or hip pain? I have woken up the past two morning with pain in my low back and hips. I can't get comfortable to fall back asleep! I have read that it could be the ligaments softening up or it could be stretching from the growing uterus. I am trying to do some little strethes now and going to start prenatal yoga once a week on the 19th. Just wondering if anyone else was getting this?

2194701 tn?1432394206 t too bad till the started going into my back. If yours do that have someone put pressure on your low back, it really helps. I did go with an epidural and it started to wear off right before I had to push so they gave me a labor dose and I didn't feel anything. They did have to cut me but I only have one stitch. Don't be scared of labor be proud! You can do it! Nah no judging dear! When your lady parts are sore, swollen, healing, and possibly torn or cut it helps with the healing.
Avatar f tn hi I broke my back in 2 places almost 3 years ago, I am fine now but occasionally get chronic back ache, since im pregnant the pain is more frequent. Avatar f tn But they suggested to me to do pregnancy yoga and get your sides and back stretched out, not only will it help with the pain in the back but also get you ready for carrying your baby. Good luck hun, hope the pain goes away. You could try some icy hot or a hot bath.
450257 tn?1268343617 You're too funny. I don't read much since ME/CFS. My vision tend to gang up with my brain to confuse me. Giggles. I bought a video by Karen Voigt (no sure I spelled her last name right), 'YOGA SCULPT". I''ve been doing it since 4 yrs ago..Very helpful to me and probably the easiest yoga stretching you'll find, not to mention it doesn't ask me go 'HUM..........HUM......HUM. Enjoy that cool a/c @ motel. !!!
Avatar f tn I have had the same problems and I recently purchased one and it has helped ease my back pain tremendously. As for the leg pain, I would just walk really slow and sit down whenever you can. That's what I have to do in places like the mall where I dread going because of all the walking.
