Common Questions and Answers about Yoga tree les

yoga

Avatar f tn I do some yoga. I tend not to do an entire program but I do use some poses and occasionally pop on my prenatal yoga CD for a bit. I enjoy cat/cow and tree pose and downward facing dog and child's pose a lot. Hip rolls and torso twists. Also do some modified planks now. I really fell off of my exercise regimen after getting pregnant but I do try to at least stretch every day, do a touch of yoga, and do some leg and arm lifts and curls with light weights.
Avatar f tn m not familiar with that one either. I prefer yoga; there are tons of DVDs for that. The Biggest Loser Yoga for Weight Loss is great.
Avatar f tn I am trying to find a workout video to help keep my strength and mobility. I have tried a yoga class. Did not do so well at it and personally didn't care for it. Any suggestions? Thank You.
175861 tn?1428182413 What affects with your LES depends on a number of factors. The LES isn't something that just goes "weak". Usually there's something that makes it so, and it could be a large number of things: 1) having too much bellyfat or being overweight puts pressure in the stomach area and essentually pushes the LES open. 2) Slowed digestion, for whatever reason, can cause acid to sit in your stomach too long and head up to your esophagus.
Avatar n tn Certain foods can relax the LES, either by relaxing the surrounding muscles (which is what coffee, alcohol, chocolate, and peppermints are known to do), or by directly irritating the esophageal lining (in this case, the main culprits are tomatoes, citrus, onions, and peppers). But there are other triggers that are just as important including being obese, or even just a few pounds overweight.
Avatar f tn Make her do yoga. Lock her in a room and MAKE HER DO THE YOGA.
Avatar f tn Under normal conditions, food travels through the LES into the stomach. Once food reaches the stomach, the LES then closes to prevent any stomach acids from returning to the esophagus. When the LES becomes weakened or damaged, the tube doesn't close once food has entered the stomach. The end result is the return of unwanted stomach acids to the esophagus, causing heartburn or acid reflux. Smoking can damage the esophagus, leading to a high incidence of GERD among smokers.
Avatar f tn Black cohosh is good for menstrual cramping. Chamomile tea is good as well as peppermint for PMS symptoms. Chaste Tree Berry is one of the best things for PMS. All can be found readily these days. Evening primrose oil as well is supposed to be excellent. Yoga is good for pms and I always just try to keep up regular exercise as it helps with mood. And good old vitamin b6 in tablet form. Those are some natural ideas for helping with pms.
Avatar f tn / we have so much in my living room right now trying to get ready for baby the tree is just going to be another thing in the way :(
176495 tn?1301280412 Just a minute to spare from work, but we can't let the week go buy without acknowledging the death of the father of the solid body electric guitar Mr Les Paul yesterday at 94...today I've been watching some stuff on youtube with him solo, and with Mary Ford...the man was a tremendous influence and I wonder where rock music would be today without his many inventions..
Avatar n tn I have GERD and no LES, possibly due to my large hiatal hernia. I have been on meds for 1 1/2 yrs. I would like to know if surgery is necessary and if I would be able to stop my meds afterwards?
Avatar n tn The LES plays a roll in all reflux or GERD. You must ask why is the LES not working properly? When the LES is injured and burned, a vicious cycle develops that you must stop, as it gets worse if you don't. Have you changed your diet? Alkalized your body? Made sure you dont have another disorder or disease contributing to or causing gerd or reflux? Specialist are good at certain areas, but sometimes you need to step back and look at the entire body.
168348 tn?1379357075 YEAHHH YOUUUU!!! The family who exercises together .. learns the importance of exercise and stays healthy together! Yoga is a wonderful low impact exercise and hope you will share your experiences! It builds our core muscles. Have to share with you that I popped out of bed at 5 am positive that I would just get up and "do" the yoga exercises on TV. My, oh my .. that yoga is really amazing! Just standing there in those positions uses your muscles and you can really feel it!
Avatar m tn turns out that while things like onion and garlic have the effect of weakening the LES, protein apparently has been shown to strengthen the LES, at least temporarily. I think I'll be eating a lot more (lean) protein from now on.

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). Avatar m tn I have not commented here in at least one year. For about two years I had the worst reflux possible. I could not lay flat for more than 1 minute and I'd drown in acid. Better now. Three years ago I went totally off PPI's..gradually. I tried about 4 brands, at that time perscript Zigerid was the best for me, but it made my digestive just feel wrong. And the cost was insane. I learned about the big picture - all around body health, what I ate and body PH.
Avatar m tn Or, is there a possibility of the brain and LES not communicating properly.(i.e. LES sending inaccurate information to the brain, The brain sending incomplete instructions, or possibly the messages being distorted on their passage through the spinal cord? I was just curious, Thanks for your time..
