Avatar f tn Hi do some yoga stretches will help.
Avatar n tn I have had the annoying ear fluttering for many years, and my regular doctors have been clueless. Finally I may go to an ENT, but I did some research on line and found this: http://www.emedicine.com/ent/TOPIC235.HTM My fluttering seems to be a type of muscular tinnitus, perhaps caused by deterioration of some nerves in the area after some type of injury and/or muscle spasm. What to do?
Avatar n tn Has anyone ever tried yoga to get relief of tension headaches. I hate giving my daughter motrin everday if there was a more natural approach.

Avatar f tn My stomach has been feeling sore (muscle wise -- like after an ab workout) I normally like to do bridges (lay on back then raise self up so only feel and hands are on the floor, stomach is in air) to relieve this type of pain, is it okay to do this during the first trimester?
8761100 tn?1399725825 Wow that's alot to deal with. Maybe take a warm bath, yoga poses, deep breathing exercises? Maybe reach out to a friend or family member in your time of need, that's what they are there for. Also you could talk to a doctor about your stress and anxiety. Just getting it all out helps so much. And I'm sure they have ideas for stress relief. Good luck.
1005315 tn?1255700205 -) I have recently been having bouts of dizziness, faintness and mild headaches. Up until three weeks ago I practiced yoga but noticed that the above symptoms came on during some of the poses. I actually thought I was either having a heart attack or was going to black out. At the same time my head felt as though it was under pressure, my ear pulsed and I felt as though I couldn't breathe.
Avatar f tn Ur body starts to produce a chemical called relaxin to soften joints so the baby can pass through. Some stretching will help. I do some yoga pregnancy poses-warrior pose, pigeon etc.
187316 tn?1386356682 I have a class tomorrow for an hour and was just going to go to it but then I got to thinking. Could it be dangerous? My daughter will be exactly one week old and I have two stitches in my whoo-ha. Do you think it could rip them even if I took it easy? Also do you think it will mess with my milk supply? I figured I would pump before I went so DH could feed her if she gets hungry while im away but I dont want it to effect future milk production. So ladies... good idea or no?
Avatar f tn So officials are filming hundreds of yoga poses and translating ancient Sanscrit texts. They plan to send the results to patent offices around the world next month, the Washington Post reports. It's an outgrowth of a project called the Traditional Knowledge Digital Library, which was originally created to fight patents on traditional Indian medicine — like turmeric for wound healing, which received a U.S. patent that was later withdrawn after India objected.

4190741 tn?1370177832 t need a class, special yoga clothes or athletic wear to perform these poses. All you need is space, dedication and the fearlessness to implement them. You can do these five asanas whenever you're feeling anxious, to help ground you back to the present moment. Be inspired, be free and be well. Childs Pose Child's Pose is commonly known as a place of rest in yoga. Most people use it to relax and regroup in between more challenging asanas during class.
Avatar m tn Can twisting the torso and holding it as in some yoga poses cause damage to the pylorus or any other organ that might result in gastroparesis? Also, has anyone been able to control gastroparesis by chewing longer to more thoroughly pulverize food?
382218 tn?1341181487 Very cool! I need to increase my exercise - lately, I've been doing two 60 minute Yoga practices, and I've been lucky to get one 90 minute bike ride in per week. I'm a little surprised they don't discuss Yoga as a weight training modality, especially the standing poses, and arm balances (Crow, Crane, Peacock, etc.) Yoga can be quite intense, depending on ability and poses attempted.
Avatar n tn I was thinking maybe If I took a yoga class this may help. I would like to hear from those that are taking or have taken a class and if this has helped you throughout your pregnancy.
1695915 tn?1306508774 Have you ever tried yoga? There are poses for nearly every capability. I recently ordered a dvd that's done sitting in a chair. Yoga is very calming and relaxing. You might give it a try. As I said before, anything that sounds too good to be true, probably is.
Avatar f tn What has helped me is stretching. Doing yoga. Look online for pregnancy yoga poses or get a prenatal yoga DVD if you don't have time for a class. Also get a maternity support belt to wear during the day. It will really help.
Avatar n tn It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me. If anything is unconfortable or hurt stop and adapt the posture or don't do it anymore. I really like Adrienne yoga video on youtube.
Avatar f tn There is pregnancy poses as an alternative to a lot of the yoga poses that we should be extra cautious about. Look it up on the web. If you feel any discomfort at any time, take the child's pose, even though the others are doing something else.
Avatar f tn When you sleep, I would also put a pillow between your knees to keep your hips/spine straight. I had horrible sciatic pain in the beginning of my pregnancy, then I sprained a foot so the awkward walking also worsened the sciatic pain. Between trying new positions and the pillow between my knees (and the foot is better) the pain is gone. I hope something helps for you.
Avatar f tn I also recommend yoga or if you can talk to your Dr about going to physical therapy, I did that my first two pregnancies due to them making back pain from an auto accident worse. I'm in my 4th pregnancy now and still do the exercises they gave me during physical therapy. Also one of those moist heat packs (not a heating pad) but the ones you microwave. They help a lot, and was more comfortable for me then a hot bath.Good luck and take care of yourself.
Avatar m tn Yoga is a fantastic way to stay active and healthy, but it's important to have the right equipment to help you perform your poses with ease and safety. One of the most essential items in your yoga kit is a non-slip yoga mat, which can help prevent slips and falls and provide better stability during your practice. Additionally, a yoga stretching strap can be an invaluable tool for deepening your stretches and improving your flexibility.
