Avatar f tn I practice yoga already and today I decided to purchase pregnancy yoga DVDs in particular. I just completed one and it was beautiful. I love the focus on baby while remembering the beauty of self. Creating space for him, aligning myself with baby. I loved it. If anyone is looking for a gentle and beautiful workout.. Prenatal and postnatal, YOGA.

10033740 tn?1458081962 I just recently heard about pregnancy yoga. I'm thinking about buying a couple DVDs so that I can do this at home. I'm currently a stay at home mom, 12wks + 3, with my second child after 9yrs. I just wanna stay active and also fit for labor. Anybody try it before?
Avatar f tn Yoga yoga yoga!!!! Make sure it's prenatal though. Its so good for you and your babies :) helps in labor and delivery too!
Avatar f tn I am pregnant with my first child. I'm young so it is a bit scary. I heard yoga is good for you to do while being pregnant but my boyfriend says it's not true. So does it help? I'm 21 and 7 weeks and 3 days.
Avatar f tn m not familiar with that one either. I prefer yoga; there are tons of DVDs for that. The Biggest Loser Yoga for Weight Loss is great.
Avatar f tn I got some pregnancy exercise apps on my phone. They all work pretty well. If you download the daily yoga app you get a ton of free programs with it. Between my exercises and yoga I'm working out about an hour every day. None of it is really hard so you get used to the alternative work outs quickly but you do work up a good sweat and it helps a lot. Especially the yoga since it stretches you everywhere. You'll be sweating afterward but feel soooo relaxed.
Avatar f tn You can do cycling and yoga that works great for pregnancy but stop when you feel discomfort, cramping
Avatar f tn So I've dealt with some pain during this pregnancy, I've had a lot of migrains that raise my bp. I can control my bp though if I focus on being relaxed breathing good and work through the anxiety by zoning out of it best I can. So with that being said I'm looking into meditation and practicing it through my labor.

1292737 tn?1272559251 I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I just joined the medhelp website last night as both my husband and I have decided that we want to get back into shape. I'm 25 5'9" and 230lbs.....not my happiest moment. Anyhow, I just want to thank you all in advance for the support and encouragement. I'm being optimistic that I will stick with my exercise and eating plans. I'm going to be using "The Firm" workout DVDs and weights and can hardly wait.
Avatar f tn Yoga! :) although some say you can't start until week 14 just to clear you of the first trimester, if you've been doing exercise before hand though it wouldn't be a problem to start now.
467126 tn?1283144858 yeah I know how you feel before I got pregnant I used to run alot, do weights etc. Because I can only loose weight if I do the more 'vigorous' workouts. But since being 20 weeks pregnant and all..I feel like if I tried to run all my bits (tummy and sore boobs) would be jiggling everywhere. I tried doing some yoga dvds and class's but I felt like it was a lazy way to exercise..found myself staring jealously at people on the treadmill..
Avatar f tn They have great aerobic and yoga dvds for pregnant women. They even show you how to adjust every exercise for the different trimesters to make sure the moves you are doing are safe for you and your baby.
Avatar f tn Pick up some prenatal yoga DVDs, or look for videos of orenatal yoga online, they will show you all the postures and flows and the modifications for each trimester. Basic kegals involve squeezing your pelvic floor muscles tightly and holding for a count of ten, repeat 20 times. Do that about 5 times a day every day. You can also hold them at different levels (as I'd going up and down an elevator 3 or 4 stories then stopping and holding at each level.
