333672 tn?1273792789 Anyway, I was just wondering what anyone else does for stretching? Or does anyone have anything that particularly works for them? This is the one the neuro mentioned: http://www.exrx.net/Stretches/Gastrocnemius/Wall.html. Basically I've just been doing various leg stretches and not for a real long time (maybe 10 breaths? for each stretch twice a day) Also does anybody do any kind of hand or finger stretches?

Avatar m tn Yoga is a fantastic way to stay active and healthy, but it's important to have the right equipment to help you perform your poses with ease and safety. One of the most essential items in your yoga kit is a non-slip yoga mat, which can help prevent slips and falls and provide better stability during your practice. Additionally, a yoga stretching strap can be an invaluable tool for deepening your stretches and improving your flexibility.

Avatar f tn I had my first... Super easy pregnancy, no sickness, very few aches or pains. The 2nd was born 5 yrs after, and I had so much hip pain. Now prego with my 3rd (the two little one will be 19 months apart :-0) my last two pregnancies I get sooo much hip pain, this time it started around 22 weeks (26 wks now). What REALLY helped was stretching (yoga) if you don't have time to do a full pregnancy yoga class (I just have a home DVD-no time for a class).
794091 tn?1264986339 more often than not I have to force myself to yoga, because my muscles craves it. I do find stretching help easing the pain a bit. Most of all, I will have to do whatever slows down/stops muscle atrophy. Have you tried it?
681148 tn?1437661591 I am required to do some specific stretching exercises by the doctor for my own health issues. I absolutely have to use a Yoga mat for this, because the floor is tile covered concrete. Akira likes the smell or something of the Yoga mat. But, she obviously enjoys getting in the middle of things when I'm doing these exercises. All I can do is laugh and give her lots of loves and pets.
10131590 tn?1408165341 I've been having a lot of these lately and forgot to ask my doctor what is the best way to relieve the pain, so I'm here to ask you guys. What is the best way for the stretched tendons to be less painful? I'm 17+2 and I go in next Thursday for my ultrasound to see what I'm having.
Avatar f tn Do I feel good on the off days because of the stretching and exercise or do I feel good because the stretching and exercise is taken out of the equation? I hope you are all well and having a "good" day. FU MS!

4845170 tn?1369102292 I just started my third tri but since I found out I was pregnant I have done stretches as squats nearly every day, as the weather got warmer into my second I began to walk at least 3 times a week n started doing prenatal yoga for beginners but it makes me feel the best...I strongly suggest the yoga its great for repaxing n stretching and for a small amount of strengthening (if that's a word haha) I'm hoping all these things help when labor comes.
10402550 tn?1410044482 If pregnant yoga is OK then I don't see why stretching wouldn't be. I just wouldn't over do it. Listen to your body.
