738075 tn?1330575844 I had a good day, today. I rode my bike about 1/2 as far as usual, and I don't feel absolutely whacked! I'm doing a "between bands set" Saturday night - about 20 minutes. I've decided Small is Good. I can't do whole 2 hour shows any more, so I'm going to concentrate on open mics (10 - 15 minute sets), and opening for larger acts. I can still sell my CDs at these short sets, and I can still present what I compose ('cause I'll never stop that).

Avatar n tn Basically, it is quite strenuous yoga done for 1 and a half hours, in a room that is generally 40 degrees or 104 celsius. The arguments are that it is good for you because you have to drink so much water your skin becomes hydrated, and secondly because you are sweating for an hour and a half your skin sweats out all of the toxins creating hydrated, clear skin. However, wouldn't being in a room that hot doing exercise for that long cause broken blood vessels?
Avatar f tn Omg it's a life saver. I've been doing yoga for years & it's so good for your body but most importantly your mental state. I'm only 9 weeks but plan to keep practicing throughout my pregnancy. Just tell the teacher you are pregnant if its not obvious & they will give you options if there is anything you should avoid. Stick with it you won't regret it.

Avatar n tn It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me. If anything is unconfortable or hurt stop and adapt the posture or don't do it anymore. I really like Adrienne yoga video on youtube.

Avatar n tn This is not exactly the forum to be asking this question, but to answer it, the only way to lose weight is that "calories in" needs to be less than "calories out". So with eating less and exercising more you should reach this goal. No matter what fad diet you do, this is the basic strategy of all of them. Just make sure you don't do a dangerous diet that makes you eat less than 1200 calories in a day.

Avatar n tn ll be fine now, I think walking for a few minutes is good for you at the moment and you can extend it gradually as you get healthier, it will certainly help you losing weight and manageing your cholesterol level but there is a supplement as well for weight loss, beyond weight management tea, it's just a brand of tea with a good taste, just tke it half an hour before you take your meal.
Avatar n tn My doctor told me that the only thing it will do is make you have diaherra, and because of that you will have contractions. But really don't want to been in labor and have diaherra. My doctor told me that sex and walking are the only things that work, and wont make you feel awful. (Same result with spicy foods, makes your stomach upset.) Good luck, sorry can't give you anymore help. My daughter was a week late, and then a c-section.
Avatar f tn t have a job that requires you to look nice, yoga pants are AMAZING! I even wear those at my office job with maternity tunics. I went with bigger sized shirts for a while because maternity clothes swallowed me whole, but now, my pants and tops (both maternity) don't meet.

1116022 tn?1305685993 Good luck on that and Id keep up with it if its good for you and its not to strenous on you then stick with it. perhaps only a few lessons you need and who knows. or do a few lessons and do them at home and go from there. ive been told and read up on that taking folic acid zinc sellinium b6 b12 is to help prepare your inside body as well as when you are pregnant , ive been eating alot of sweet potatoes baked like wedgies and they help with pregestrone level rise up.

Then somewhere along the way I found that I couldn't do most of the poses or if I could get in to it I would lose my balance or start shaking really bad. At the time I was pretty depressed with everything that MS had taken from my life so I quit. This New Year I bought a Wii for fun excercise and from there I found myself getting back in to the yoga.
