Avatar m tn I get a lot of trapped gas in the middle of chest under my breast bone. To relieve it I use my three major fingers from the index to the one before my pinky .I push down and keep pushing all the way down and out until I feel all the gas go away following down through into my stomach then I just gas it out.Note I have to keep doing this a few times to relieve it all. Is there a natural remedy with no chemicals that can relieve it other than say like Gas X ?

Avatar f tn I actually did yoga at home before pregnancy (waaaay before, but not within the last year). And I had taken a couple classes at an athletic facility before. This class was so much different. Things are not just modified, the whole process pertains to the pregnant woman and her needs. For instance, we're not supposed to do abdominal twists in the second trimester... or lay on our backs at 20 weeks. She tailored it to our pregnancy weeks.

Avatar n tn It's a great addition. Yoga tends to be more mussel building and toning your body, when working out to loose weight you need a good combination of cardio and body toning. I love doing Yoga and it's very helpful to me, but if I didn't walk/run on a treadmill I wouldn't have lost any weight.
980510 tn?1282010946 My opinion is that yoga would be a great thing to do...of course keeping in mind the restrictions that will trigger a headache. My PT has given me some really good core strengthing exercises lately which I have found to be really helpful not to mention my stomach seems to be a little less flabby! So I say..go for it...and if a position or something isn't comfortable, just don't do that one. I think yoga might be something I take up in the future too once I cleared for it..

Avatar f tn s prenatal yoga in YouTube. Its about half an hour video and she has simplified the asanas for pregnant women. I would recommend watching and doing one asana at a time so that you get the right muscles to work on. Don't forget to ask your doctor before starting and generally its a good idea to start and end the yoga with pranayam exercises like om-vilom, for warm up and cool down. Its not part of the video but you can find them too on you tube. all the best.

The burning that pain meds. did not touch feel better . Plus the meditation with movement was great. The time went by very fast . can't wait till i know enough to do it at home safely. And don't over do it .

I am done with the physical wd symptoms (at least the ones I can actually 'feel', know my body will take longer to heal overall), but I haven't got to the point where I am mentally feeling good if that makes sense. I feel like I'm stuck in the grey "blah" zone of not having physical symptoms but not feeling very good either. I'm keeping up with my vitamins, taking brisk walks and almost sleeping 6 hours at night...
Avatar f tn My sister actually teaches prenatal yoga. It has helped me with the pregnancy so far even though im only 10 weeks. It has helped me with pain, sleep and nausea. I have known people to do it all thru their pregnancy and they have told me it is a life saver when giving birth and after. It needs to be done regularly too. Whoever teaches you tell them if you have a concern about pain, stiffness or illness and they can change your session accordingly to help that. Hope everything goes well for you.

One site I read said that surgery to cut a certain tendon near the ear was the way to relieve the fluttering, but this sounds pretty extreme. I'm going to try the natural route!

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
