Avatar f tn So I've dealt with some pain during this pregnancy, I've had a lot of migrains that raise my bp. I can control my bp though if I focus on being relaxed breathing good and work through the anxiety by zoning out of it best I can. So with that being said I'm looking into meditation and practicing it through my labor.
Avatar m tn I would like to communicate with anyone using and having success with meditation and or yoga for severe anxiety Thanks
574529 tn?1237761006 They say it can help, and well it sure can't hurt right? at the least it will help with the whole stress that ttc brings! i've started yoga recently, trying to do any and everything we can to help all of this!
1819938 tn?1317140687 Also------ exercise is critical to stress relief as calming activities such as yoga, meditation, etc. (even praying). Talking to someone about the stress or situation is helpful and keeping a journal can be enlightening. But------ making sure that these symptoms are related to stress is important and a doctor can help with that. And deciding if it is chemical or situational is something having a doctor help you with would be good. So call your md.

847102 tn?1238700275 my afib was mostly vagal and I started Yoga a few months back and while I don't know if its the Yoga or all of the other changes I have made, the Yoga doesn't seem to be hurting anything and it's helping me become more "aware" of my body and I'm getting a little more limber and it's helping my posture alot. I also do pilates and this does'nt seem to bother me either. I encorporate the meditaion into my Yoga routine at the end of my sessions.
Avatar n tn Do not be over anxious about this as this will increase sweating. Easier said than done, but you have to try meditation and yoga to calm your self. Avoid too much of tea, coffee, smoking and spicy food. Take up yoga, deep breathing exercise, walking and remain strong and happy. Music and aerobics are also good stress busters. Drink plenty of fluids and water (not caffeine), eat fresh fruits and vegetables and keep yourself busy throughout the day.
Avatar f tn Have you tried breathing exercises as well? I would also recommend some type of yoga and/or meditation for the panic attacks. Hopefully the exercise along with a healthy diet will soon produce results for you. Good for you on deciding to get healthy and good luck to you!
Avatar n tn I think worse case many times and am lucky to have a doc who is very supportive. Do you have prenatal yoga or meditation you can do? It helps so much, focus on getting baby's room ready and stay as distracted as possible. Most of all, strong support is so important so find others who understand and it will make a huge difference.

I recommend meditation and writing to distract yourself until the fear passes or you fall asleep. Hope this helps!

Avatar f tn I have done yoga. I am into mindfulness meditation. I follow a monk from Vietnam Thicht Nhat Hahn. I am very happy with life since I have been listening to him. Most people have high candida. It is one of those things that comes and goes in health trends. I read a book the Yeast Connection decades ago. I follow a balanced diet and that is about it.
Avatar f tn t have that yet. Orthotics are helpful. Relaxation things like yoga, meditation can help believe it or not. Working with a physical therapist to improve strength and mobility and regular walking are the things I've really read are most helpful.
Avatar f tn I want to learn more about yoga and meditation to help me with my depression where would be a good site to find this information. Also has anyone found success with accupuncture?
Avatar n tn Forget all the praying and meditation etc. with Yoga. You can do Yoga moves and not get into that. But the strength, balance, and stretching moves are very relaxing yet give you an excellent workout. You will really sweat, but you will feel very good afterwards. Youcan get an entire workout routine on DVD at beachbody.com. 4) I would try going to a biofeedback person to learn how to relax and physically turn off the panic attacks. I did this and it really works well.
1348302 tn?1286575703 People practice meditation for many reasons within the context of their culture. Meditation is a component of many religions, and has been practiced since antiquity, especially by monastics. To date, the exact mechanism at work in meditation remains unclear.
Avatar n tn I have had BFS for about 2 yrs now and have tried many remedies on my own as well as valium. It is primarily in my calves and ankle area. I have recently started meditation and plan on trying cranio sacral therapy. Although I realize that these are not traditional treatments, I am at my wits end and refuse to take seizure meds, sedatives or dopamine meds. Has anyone heard of these therapies being helpful.
