Avatar f tn Im walk everyday a minimum or 1/2 hr then do my streches to cool down (squats, modified lunges, series of yoga poses and finish with a few pelvic tilts) this has be doing pretty well for me but check with your dr about the streches im not sure how they would affect your placenta.
Avatar f tn I found out my pain was because my body had been crooked. I had had severe lower back pain & hip strain for over 5 years. Then he told me that one shoulder was higher than the other and I had some misalignment from whiplash in 2004! I didn't even tell them about my whiplash & the guy was able to tell just by looking at and feeling my spine. Allll that affects your entire spine.
Avatar f tn My sister and I live together, and she tends to get frustrated with me for a lot of things like my memory problems, how easily I fatigue, that I make time for yoga and walking but I can't do a lot of chores. I keep fit and go to yoga a lot, or my pain becomes absolutely unbearable. I won't live with that pain. Any suggestions?

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn I do some yoga. I tend not to do an entire program but I do use some poses and occasionally pop on my prenatal yoga CD for a bit. I enjoy cat/cow and tree pose and downward facing dog and child's pose a lot. Hip rolls and torso twists. Also do some modified planks now. I really fell off of my exercise regimen after getting pregnant but I do try to at least stretch every day, do a touch of yoga, and do some leg and arm lifts and curls with light weights.
Avatar f tn Omg it's a life saver. I've been doing yoga for years & it's so good for your body but most importantly your mental state. I'm only 9 weeks but plan to keep practicing throughout my pregnancy. Just tell the teacher you are pregnant if its not obvious & they will give you options if there is anything you should avoid. Stick with it you won't regret it.

Avatar f tn I had a very minor whiplash injury 10 days ago but was able to carry on normal activities and run for over an hour a couple of days after. 4 days after the event my neck pain worsened and I suffered from extreme nausea.I had a severe headache and was admitted overnight for a CT of my brain which was fine. The following day I had another sudden severe headache and was taken into hospital again. The MRI and MRA were normal, and I was discharged with a diagnosis of whiplash injury.

Avatar f tn Several days ago I was diagnosed with whiplash following a car accident. I did not hit my head. I have felt relitivly fine except a little sore up until this point. My neck x ray was negative and all of my reflexes are intact. Today I experienced a new symptom, I have been feeling dizzy, lightheaded and "foggy" to say the least. The outer part of my hand including my little finger feels strange, almost like it fell asleep (but not quite).
Avatar f tn I am 25 years old and have recently been diagnosed with stage 2 whiplash. About three years ago I noticed a lump in the back of my neck and when I went ot see my doctor he said it would probably just go away and if it did not get bigger or cause pain it should be fine. A year and a half went but and it did grow and my neck and back began to hurt. I was having head aches off and on almost every day and my vision had gotten much worse.
Avatar f tn My whiplash occured in 1993...I've been suffering with those same kinds of pains ever since. I go to the chiro all the time to have my neck "put back in" but because I'm so flexible it "pops out" again before I can even get back home. They told me that once you get whiplash you can get it again at the "drop of a hat". That's why, if you're ever in an accident, one of the first questions they ask is if you've ever had whiplash...
