It has mentioned side effects ot vajrasa done for longer period.I sit in this posture for medittion so many times a day, never realizing the harm it can inflict.website recommends this posture for a minute only to cure varicose vein and if done for more time, it may causse varicose vein problem.

I already avoid inversions like head stands while doing yoga due to the prior retina detachment. 3) My understanding is that Toric lenses are precisely placed in the eye. 1481358 tn?1288295091 it is funny cause i have always seen those cravings like waves and me riding the waves because cravings come in waves... they last for a while and if you ride them instead of panicking , you will be ok and each time with each wave , you learn the better way to ride them.

Some tend to overeat while watching TV, etc. If you're surfing the internet and get the urge to eat, get up and do something else, like sweep the floor, do some laundry, go for a walk; anything to take your mind off eating.

Avatar f tn This summer I’ve started wake surfing. Several weeks ago I held onto the rope a little too long while falling. A couple of my fingers are extremely sore and swollen several weeks later. I realize at my age it could arthritis, which I haven’t had any issues with, but would that manifest from trauma like that? I guess I’d have thought it would come on slower. Could it be ligament damage?

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn I do some yoga. I tend not to do an entire program but I do use some poses and occasionally pop on my prenatal yoga CD for a bit. I enjoy cat/cow and tree pose and downward facing dog and child's pose a lot. Hip rolls and torso twists. Also do some modified planks now. I really fell off of my exercise regimen after getting pregnant but I do try to at least stretch every day, do a touch of yoga, and do some leg and arm lifts and curls with light weights.
Avatar f tn Omg it's a life saver. I've been doing yoga for years & it's so good for your body but most importantly your mental state. I'm only 9 weeks but plan to keep practicing throughout my pregnancy. Just tell the teacher you are pregnant if its not obvious & they will give you options if there is anything you should avoid. Stick with it you won't regret it.

I have been surfing in the UK for past 4 years and just lately me and my friend/s have been getting rashes after surfing. We surf in North East England. I have surfed today and yet again have red blotches all over my face, this has happened the last few times I have been surfing, funnily enough since just before New Year!!
