Avatar f tn First of all, welcome! The good thing is you are young enough to still have good metabolism to help burn those extra calories and fat. Below are a couple of suggestions to aid in that process. You should start by observing what you eat and the size of the portions. Keeping a food diary of everything you consume (food and drinks) for just one week will train you to be mentally aware.

Avatar n tn Had breast reconstruction over 10 years ago - TRAM flap with abdominal muscle. Digestion issues worsen every year. Physician prescribed Amitiza last year but now have to meet new-year deductible before I can benefit from manufacturer coupon. Symptoms now include increased, painful bloating, no burps, no flatulence and no bowel movement after about 5 days drinking only water. Usually fruit or juice will help but nothing is helping or happening. Suggestions welcome and encouraged.
Avatar f tn My daughter has just been diagnosed with dysautonomia. We have been going to a gastroenterologist for months and had endoscopy's and a colonoscopy with no answers for her chronic constipation and nausea, now we know it is caused by the dysautonomia. Does anyone have an answer that will help her with constipation and digestion? She has to take a ton of laxatives just to go to the bathroom at all. She eats very little and is a vegan.
Avatar n tn Switching the two helps and of course watching what I eat and drink, Right now I am uncomfortable from my dinner - the giant milk shake was a bit too much milk and sugar for me. I have no saage advice for this one.... but can definitely commiserate.
Avatar n tn It seems strange for a doctor to look for crohns or colitis with an operation. I would get a colonoscopy if you haven't had one.

Avatar n tn I had a dog who picked a red, ripe jalapeno from my garden for breakfast every morning. Crazy dog just loved those things and never displayed any ill effects. All our dogs also love cajun food with lots of cayenne. Obviously, we don't feed them a bowl of gumbo or anything, but they love a swipe of the tongue over a used bowl. LOL! I'd be more concerned about what the jalapenos were stuffed with.
436713 tn?1408884730 Hi guys. I'm hoping someone can help. For over a year I have had fullness in my upper right quadrant - in the area just under my low ribs. It doesn't "hurt".. and it isn't sharp, but it is incredibly annoying (and is something that constantly worries me.) I find I sometimes can make the pressure sensation disappear temporarily, like when I lay on my left side. I also don't seem to feel it when I am sleeping.
Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn I do some yoga. I tend not to do an entire program but I do use some poses and occasionally pop on my prenatal yoga CD for a bit. I enjoy cat/cow and tree pose and downward facing dog and child's pose a lot. Hip rolls and torso twists. Also do some modified planks now. I really fell off of my exercise regimen after getting pregnant but I do try to at least stretch every day, do a touch of yoga, and do some leg and arm lifts and curls with light weights.
Avatar f tn Omg it's a life saver. I've been doing yoga for years & it's so good for your body but most importantly your mental state. I'm only 9 weeks but plan to keep practicing throughout my pregnancy. Just tell the teacher you are pregnant if its not obvious & they will give you options if there is anything you should avoid. Stick with it you won't regret it.
