Everyone is different but maternity pants are made like the shirts you should be in the same size as before you got pregnant they just make them so they stretch in the right spots.

I'm in Canada so I know cold weather lol.... I have a few pairs of jeans a black pair of pants a bunch of yoga pants and I have about 10 shirts and still wear some of my pre preg shirts.... I also bought a maternity coat and a couple sweaters....

My husband took me maternity a few days ago when he saw how uncomfortable I was sitting down in my jeans. I'm showing at 9w5d AND I'm bloated, so even though I have lost 10 lbs in the first trimester (due to morning sickness), none of my pants fit. I already had bought new, bigger bras because my boobs hurt so much. Move into maternity pants as soon as you feel the pressure of your waistband. Maternity pants are SO comfortable.

When is it acceptable to start wearing maternity clothing? I'm around 13 weeks and have a tiny tummy pooch which makes it really uncomfortable to wear any of my old clothes. Plus, the button on my jeans is the most annoying thing in the world anymore. But is it too soon to start wearing maternity jeans/clothing?

You are correct in that statement about it saying made in Canada. It leaves us here in a tough situation. For example, something can be made in China, but if a component of it (doesn't necessarily have to be the majority of it), or the packing (think Cereal) was made here, they can label it Made In Canada. Pretty wrong isn't it. It makes me so mad. There is legislation out there to enforce more accurate labeling, but so far our Congress hasn't done a darn thing about it.

If ur jeans fit in thighs just dont button up I use a hair elastic to loop through and just wear long shirts I also started wearing maxi dresses quite a bit with my 1st.

Just shop at your favorite store and buy 1 or 2 sizes bigger. That's what i did.

Not sure how long I was in regular clothes but as of now my wardrobe consists of nothing but yoga pants t shirts sweatpants and tank tops haha

If u do decide to wear maternity clothing, go with smalls. I was a size 4 in jeans and typically a size small in shirts. My jeans started feeling tight early on but didn't get a belly until i was like 18 weeks and I am almost 25 weeks now. Hope this helps!

I was wearing the same sizes and was in jogging pants by 8 weeks. I had only gained 4 pounds. I just didn't like the pressure on my belly. Now I have 2 pairs of maternity jeans and they have been the best money I have spent to date. I am 15 weeks and 4 days now and I feel much better about myself in my jeans then I did in jogging pants.

I have a few pieces of Maternity clothing.for "special occasions" but honestly I live in my old stuff. I was complimented on my shirt the other day and said it's "Ann Taylor" she said "I didn't think she made maternity clothing" lol I don't think she does. Anything empire waist seems to work for me and yoga pants.

So I have been getting more 0-3months and 3-6months clothes for my boy due in July.
