They say you shouldn't try to induce labor yourself before you are 40 weeks, but I'm right there with you! My last child was born very healthy at 37 weeks. Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.

Do abdominal inhalation and simultaneously contract anal muscles. Abdominal breathing will massage down ward and anus contraction will contract up ward. The massage will be done both ways.Google abdominal breathing to learn.
Avatar f tn I do multiple yoga routines off of YouTube and I also walk at least 1-2 miles a day. I am 5' and 115lbs before pregnancy and the weight looks a lot different when you are short and small framed so exercise is super important.
Avatar n tn Is anyone else finding the change in lifestyle hard? Prior to falling pregnant I smoked and regularly drank alcohol (not to excess). I also cycled a lot, rode horses and ran quite often. Since finding out I'm pregnant I've obviously stopped the smoking and drinking which was hard but easier than usual as know what harm it does but I'm finding the whole change a bit hard I can't exercise in the same way, I live on v hot climate so need to take things easy with running etc.

Avatar f tn Never tried regular yoga but I started prenatal yoga at about 3 months, now 7 and it really helps with my hip and back pain. My hips usually get so bad I have to sit in a warm bath but I haven't done that at all this time around. I plan on continuing the yoga once I deliver. I've officially been converted!
1088217 tn?1301925756 And i talked to my ob about it and he said since im just home doing nothing i should tried yoga so he gave me this ad and it said gentle yoga and is also for high risk pregnancies but is $118 for like 1 or 2 sessions im not sure so then i found out that at the hospital they give classes too for free so they fax me this paper saying that even with my a dr note is not guarentee that is safe for me to exercise so that kind of threw me off.
Avatar f tn I found my prenatal workout dvds for a dollar at the thrift store...winninngg!! Lol i got two but the one im most fond of is Leisa Harts fitmama prenatal workout. The excerises are not hard at all and get my blood pumping. She shows alot of good stretches as well.

I have been to two different ones and one was very concerned with how my pregnancy was so far and any previous injuries. I have had some problems with loose joints and she paid close attention to make sure I was doing poses right. The other instructor didn't talk to me at all and I wasn't as comfortable with her.

I love the focus on baby while remembering the beauty of self. Creating space for him, aligning myself with baby. I loved it. If anyone is looking for a gentle and beautiful workout.. It can be consederd as gift if you convert this energy into mental energy. or go to health care people. as it in not normal. you may lose your vitality completely at a later stage which can be irreversible.
