I'm a full-time cane user now but was able to hold it off for years through a combo of balance PT and, IMO, yoga. My suggestions: 1. Try to find a yoga teacher who has worked with people with MS. I've met yoga teachers who didn't have that experience who thought MS issues were muscle issues. And, they might be but they're message issues first. 2.
Avatar f tn you are most welcome and if you have any questions I did a teachers training trying to help me with my pain in both pelvic floor yoga and chronic pain...so if you have a yoga question ... if something doesn't feel good or right...it can always be modified or a different pose that is more appropriate! Just take it slow and don't over do it! If you do yoga and notice you are holding your breath or clenching your jaw in the pose then you are going to far to fast...

Avatar f tn I play this game on my phone, its a game where you join an alliance and you build cities, attack people for resources. My alliance is at war with alliance. I've been attacked 8 times. I'm crying Ium so upset which is not like me, but not hardly anyone's being attacked but me. I can't even play I'm being attacked so much. Meanwhile I'm trying to tell all these men I'm prego and sensitive so leave me alone. Ugg I think I'm officially crazy.

Avatar f tn Ewww tuff one. My first reaction was good for them. Get rid of crappy teachers, but then I'm thinking we don't pay our teachers enough for such an important job. I haven't heard the whole story yet, but from what I've heard so far, the teachers were not willing to put in the extra time needed. There's always two sides to these stories and I don't know enough yet to say yeah or nay.

We've had several cases here in Utah over the past year. This past week it was a 62 year old teacher who married his 18 year old student (she graduated in June and turned 18 in September and then they eloped to Vegas to get married). What is wrong with people in authority? I just feel it's wrong!
1423792 tn?1282657198 Hi Kitty, I don't know of any specific groups but you may want to try NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness.) I know it isn't med help but it is something. Also you can come and talk to all of us if you need to. We all have bipolar and are trying to be well. There are other family members on here as well. At least you could talk to people who know about bipolar if nothing else.

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.

Avatar n tn depression and anxiety goes, that will involve more than breathing exercises. They can help a lot, as can yoga, and meditation, whether from yoga or other traditions is probably better still for this. But to cure it, you have to learn to change the way you think -- instead of thinking anxious thoughts you learn not to, the same with depressed thoughts. This will usually require therapy of some kind and a lot of practice.
