1423792 tn?1282657198 Hi Kitty, I don't know of any specific groups but you may want to try NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness.) I know it isn't med help but it is something. Also you can come and talk to all of us if you need to. We all have bipolar and are trying to be well. There are other family members on here as well. At least you could talk to people who know about bipolar if nothing else.
Avatar m tn Mental Health America, National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI), MH Self Help are all organizations that have resources which could help. Give them a call and they can provide point you in the right direction of what's available locally.
333672 tn?1273792789 I have not tried this, but apparently there are new online brain-training games at http://www.mymsmyway.com/ (middle of page under what's new) that were developed by "an alliance of Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals, Microsoft, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society" (http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/157707.php).

Avatar m tn It could indeed be bipolar. I guess your Dad needs to choose to go seek help. It is like walking on egg shells around someone who is mentally ill and is not on meds. Just do your best, and check out the NAMI website, that's the national alliance on mental illnes. That may help you.
Avatar m tn http://www.nami.org/Template.cfm?Section=By_Illness&template=/ContentManagement/ContentDisplay.cfm&ContentID=102859 Our now adult son was not diagnosed w/bipolar II until he was in his mid-twenties (this was a while ago), but I can tell you that from the age of three and a half, he exhibited most of the signs and behaviors on the NAMI list. And during his stable periods, he admits that he thinks he was ill that early.

Avatar n tn Aside from checking local churches in your area (which is a great place to start), I would suggest trying the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) website. On their home page you will find a link titled "Find Support" that you can click on to search for support groups by state. The support group they offer is called "Family to Family" and from what I have heard it is a similar program to the 12-step program used at AA meetings.
8899291 tn?1407195461 in the psychiatric diagnostic bible, DSM V (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual 5) to give you some guidelines, but if you have a hard time focusing and concentrating making reading difficult, you can always contact a local chapter of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Health or DBSA (Depression and Bipolar Disorder Alliance). They have weekly support groups that you can sit in and it is whatever you can afford, from 0 to whatever to sit in the support group.
148588 tn?1465778809 intelligence agencies have affirmed that the Russian government directed the illegal hacking of private email accounts of the Democratic National Committee and prominent individuals. The emails were then released by WikiLeaks, which has benefited financially from a Russian state propaganda arm, used Russian operatives for security and made clear an intent to harm the candidacy of Hillary Clinton. From the Russian perspective, the success of this operation can hardly be overstated.
Avatar m tn I would suggest using the physician locator service on the National Alliance and Advocates for Buprenorphine Treatment. You can find it at www.NAABT.ORG Good luck, I hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I play this game on my phone, its a game where you join an alliance and you build cities, attack people for resources. My alliance is at war with alliance. I've been attacked 8 times. I'm crying Ium so upset which is not like me, but not hardly anyone's being attacked but me. I can't even play I'm being attacked so much. Meanwhile I'm trying to tell all these men I'm prego and sensitive so leave me alone. Ugg I think I'm officially crazy.
Avatar f tn I am glad to give you all the support I can. I also belong to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance. They have a lot of women with clear cell. It is a little harder to navigate and I did not do as well with women dying which happen a bit on that site. Every case of cancer is different. They are doing better with clear cell. Ask what percentage of you cancer was clear cell. If it were say 10% that is way different than say 90%. The Tax/Carbo is not fun I will not lie.
148588 tn?1465778809 It’s easier to blame someone else than to realize that all that blood lies directly at your own feet On the same day père et fille Cheney dropped their op-ed, they launched a new 501(c)(4) called The Alliance for a Stronger America, “stronger” here presumably meaning an America that drops more bombs.

Avatar n tn I'd contact NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness), a group founded by the families of people with mental health issues. I don't like the name, but they do good work and can help make a good referral for a Psychatrist or Psychologist. Please consider the fact that your ex-wife may be overwhelmed and desparate, as many parents of bipolar children are. I take a lot of meds myself, and they work really well until they need to be adjusted, and then it's really hard.
148588 tn?1465778809 Hamilton 68 is a project that has been tracking Russian influence networks on Twitter for more than six months, watching as Kremlin-linked bots and social media amplifiers seek to inject themselves into national controversies, like #ReleaseTheMemo, the Charlottesville white nationalist rally and the NFL kneeling controversy.
