yellow discharge from eyes

I've noticed that I have abnormal sticky yellow discharge from both my eyes the morning after visiting the barber for a haircut. I've been going to the same place for years but this started happening a few month ago. If I get my hair cut elsewhere nothing abnormal the next morning when i wake up. Sticky yellow discharge. Sometimes it lasts a day or two then clears up. Any ideas what this could be? Thanks for your help.

The red sounds like allergies or something, but is the yellow discharge or are the whites of your eyes yellowish in color? See your doctor immediately if this is the case. Yellowing of the eyes sounds like jaundice and should be taken seriously.

I agree w/bigsissie it is not normal to have yellow eyes. You should have your liver tested.

If there is a hepatologist within driving distance, that would be your best bet, if not, go to a gastrointerologist. Yellow eyes need to be checked out because they mean you have excess bilirubin in your blood. What color is your urine and stools?
