yeast-infection

Avatar f tn hello...dosomebody kknow...diferents between-yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis?
Avatar f tn I have been having complications with yeast infections, someone suggested taking a natural supplemental probiotic, since I can't stomach yogurt, has anyone ever done so while pregnant? I've read online and can't seem to get a straight answer.
Avatar f tn These include when symptoms may not be due to thrush, when thrush is caused by other strains of Candida spp. such as Candida glabrata( These may not be so easily treated with the usual anti-thrush medicines), you are taking antibiotics, or if you have undiagnosed or poorly controlled diabetes. You should get a fungal culture of vaginal discharge done and all these causes ruled out.
Avatar f tn I'm 36 weeks pregnant. I gotten alot of yeast infections during my pregnancy. probably around 4 , Ive just got treated for one but I believe I got another again.
Avatar f tn I always get yeast infections after oral sex with my boyfriend. It hasnt always been like this but after the first time i got one they have always came back after oral. We got my boyfriend a diflucan to take but it didnt seem to help. what can i do to stop these other than stopping oral sex completely.
Avatar f tn Showerhead and switch soaps. antibacterial soap is not meant for your privates. It wipes out alll the good bacteria leaving you open to infections, fungus. Switch to a non antibacterial soap and I guarantee your infections will slow down. Pregnancy produces so many hormones...we're prone to Yeast infections, but switching soaps will help a lot.
1168718 tn?1464983535 Hi Girls, PLEASE !!!!!!!! LOL ...... boys, ignore this one.... Hi, was just wondering if you ladies have experienced constant yeast infections? I'm wondering because I have. I was put on Premarin cream a little while ago, and thought that might be it, ( though it may be) , but checked on the MS site, and found out that it is VERY common with us ladies with MS. So, anyone out there willing to share this??
6014380 tn?1378523315 What exactly can you do if you have been seen and been treated for yeast infections and no antibiotics oral or suppository has worked to get rid of it? I have had this issues close to two years and doctors seem to be blowing me off about it when I know there has to be a underlining cause for this please help this is literally killing me.
Avatar f tn The odor means the infection has not cleared up and you may need a different antibiotic, either pills and/or cream. You may have a propensity to yeast infections and adding cranberry juice or cranberry pills and yogurt to your diet may also help but see the Dr. first to get this cleared up.
Avatar f tn I am diabetic and I am prone to yeast infections so I had to ask in case. They told me pro b for prevention and Monistat 1 not the 1 day but 3 or 7 and do not insert more than an inch. I hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Sounds like a yeast infection or bv. Both are common vaginal infections during pregnancy. They can be transmitted sexually, but are also caused by the drastic changes in ph due to hormones. It's a good idea to call your ob.
Avatar f tn I had a yeast infection when I first found out I was pregnant. I had that cottage cheese discharge and everything. Then I treated. This time I think I have it again. But I'm not having discharge! I'm completely dry down there and sometimes when I whipemy discharge looks like a grey color. It hurts after sex and kinds hurts now. Like a burning feeling. I had my doctors appointment days ago she checked me and said it wasn't yeast or bacteria. But I'm telling you it hurts.
Avatar m tn Yeast infections are not caused by std's. Yeast is distinct and can be determined during examination under a wet mount. Some women just get recurring yeast infections for reasons that cannot be explained.
Avatar m tn if i should be treated for fear of passing the infections back she said the Dr. said it was not necessary. She was tested negative of any SDT's and I have no history or symptoms either. Any ideas what could be the source of the yeast infections? I know one of them was a result of her forgetting her tampon inside her.
Avatar n tn I've been getting recurring yeast infections for the past six months. I've been treated with flagyl, fluconazole, over the counter suppositories and nothing works, it just keeps coming back. I am on birth control (orthotricycline) do you think the pill could be causing my recurring yeast infections?
Avatar m tn usually in women, if you have external yeast, you also have it internally. if they tested you for bv and didn't find any signs of yeast, odds are you don't just have an external yeast infection genitally. no std causes skin sensitivity all over the body like you are having either. at this point, continue to follow up regularly with your provider to try to figure out what is going on.
Avatar f tn I would seek help from your gyn. It's not normal ( IMP ) to get yeast infections everytime you have sex with him. That too me would mean that he is dirty down there. The only time when I get yeast infections and UTI, is from antiboitics or when me and my boyfriend have sex and I go striaght to bed afterwards and sperm stays inside of me.
1100598 tn?1413127426 My Holistic Vet prescribes it for ear infections and/or Yeast Infections.......I have used it for years before he ever made mention of it...... Other things for you to do: Add Wet food for at least one meal a day.....Extra moisture will help keep toxins flushed from her system and is vital for healthy organ function......No dog should live on dry food alone.... Next: You need to add a good probiotic to her meals....
Avatar n tn i am prone to yeast infections and almost positive that i have a uti currently. i know the recommended remedy for this is a course of antibiotics, but they will give me a yeast infection. (normalyl once i get a yeast infection i can;t get rid of it for weeks/months.) can i treat the uti naturally?
Avatar f tn Repeat infections that occur immediately following treatment, or a persistent yeast infection that does not respond to treatment, may be the first or, at least, an early sign that an individual is infected with HIV. this is wht is written on dis site...im so paranoid.please help!
Avatar n tn I would disagree with your doctor. Just because you have HSV 1 antibody but no known history of cold sores, that doesn't mean you have genital HSV 1. You could, but you could also just as easily (if not more easily) have asymptomatic oral HSV 1 infection. About 70% of people who have oral herpes infections don't report symptoms.
Avatar n tn I emailed you, but here is the same answer. typically yeast infections are asymptomatic is males meaning they do not have any symptoms.Which is funny cause males are usually asymptomatic with alot of STD and infections.. women are the ones who get the brunt of things. But if you were treated you most likely did not give him anything. Plus if you did he would have about the same symptoms as you have. Sounds like he has the flu..
Avatar n tn Hi, I thought it was yeast and self-treated as I've gotten them before. I'm pretty sure its yeast but since posting this I did experience another OB. Initially it started off as a yeast infection and the meds for it stopped the itching and treat it but I realised that the itching persisted and it felt more like how I felt when I had my primary OB. I was still taking the acicyclovir since my first OB around June 8 I've just increased the intake during this OB. I'm treating the Y.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had multiple yeast/BV infections? I've had 3 so far and I think I'm having another! I'm going to ob tomorrow and I'm sure I'll get some meds. It's frustrating. Anyone Else?!?! Please help.
Avatar f tn I have a vaginal yeast infection that WILL NOT go away. I am not sexually active. And I do not have hiv or diabetes. I have been treated by quite a few gynecologists. And none of them have been able to help me with this problem. I did some research, and asked around, and found out that I needed to go to an infectious disease doctor.
