yeast-infection

Avatar n tn s something wrong, and you might need medical treatment, but douching is not the treatment for any of those (although yeast infections may be treated with suppositories). If there's a bad smell without weird discharge or discomfort, it's probably external and you just need to wash a little better on the outside with a nice, gentle, fragrance-free soap.
Avatar f tn When I inserted the medicine i noticed the syringe thing had a large size of amount of a green almost mucas like discharge on it! What could this be? I have had yeast infections prior to this episode but they were NEVER like this! I am miserable! What should I do! It's the weekend so I can't get into a doctor's office and I don't have health insurance!
Avatar n tn Especially if your husband got a flaky rash as well. I know that yeast infections are hard to get rid of too, I just recently got over a 5 month yeast infection! I had taken many treatments and nothing seemed to work. And when it would start to get better and I'd have sex the pain would come back with a vengance. I also was tested for all STD's freaking out and they came back clear.
Avatar f tn Douching upsets the natural balance of bacteria and yeast in your vagina and will cause infections. 2. Avoid bread and sugary foods as much as possible. If there is yeast in your vagina it is in the rest of your body too and sugar will just feed it. 3. Use condoms if you have sex. You CAN give a yeast infection to a guy (they usually get no symptoms) and then he will just keep passing it back to you. 4. Eat yogurt with live cultures in it - sugar free is best, but any kind helps. 5.
2127574 tn?1335359217 ve used multiple types of BC pills but they always seem to give me recurrent yeast infections. I stop the pill and the yeast infections stop. When I restart the pills they occur over and over again. So that is why I'm looking in to a non-hormonal contraceptive (and not Mirena). I am very nervous though with my periods already being moderate and having cramping; I'm afraid that the cramping and flow will become almost unbearable.
Avatar n tn Chronic infections, including yeast infections, are common in patients who have Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome. As far as your low sex drive, have you had any labwork done ? I think you should ask your OB/GYN to do hormone testing. Also... do you have painful intercourse because of vaginal dryness ?
Avatar f tn Does any one know of a natural treatment of endometriois? I have had a hysterectomy but have one ovary left. It's been 2 mths since my surgery and the endo is back. My doc wants me to take the Lupron shot. But I can only have one more. Any help will be appreciated.
Avatar f tn As far as I know, anti biotics are useless against 'yeast' infection. 'Yeast' is a fungus. Anti biotics are useful against 'bacterial' infections only. And the over use of anti biotics can lead to yeast infections as the anti biotics break down the body's own natural defenses. Your use of the word 'prone' makes me wonder if she has received too many anti biotics. I would suggest that you try to build up 'her' natural defense system.
Avatar f tn Anyone else have constant yeast infections? I don't know what to do. Doctor keeps telling me monistat 7. Any natural remedies or suggestions?
Avatar n tn go to Natural Health Food Store..get a Candida Yeast Cleanse..follow the instrustions thoroughly...and get rid of your yeast build up in your body... just a suggestion.. Blessings..
Avatar n tn Yeast infections are not std's. You may want to post your question in women's health.
Avatar n tn If you have trader joes close by get plain European style yogurt (it has 0 sugar). Get probiotics for women's health. Eats tons of yogurt with no sugar. Cut sugar out of your diet. I had it during 1st trimester. Doctor suggested (besides medication) eating tons of yogurt, kefir, cut down all sugars. Also, probiotics is a good idea to take daily.
Avatar f tn t really know. After that I had gotten many reoccurring yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis. However, that stopped for a while. I didn't test positive for HSV 1 and 2 for about 2 years. However, I recently tested positive for HSV 2 twice with the same gyno. But I went to my primary doctor who also specializes in women's health and requested for another blood test. This time, both HSV 1 and 2 were both negative. So I don't really know if I have HSV 2 or not.
1245078 tn?1268578722 As Vera676 suggested, there are bacterial cultures (the same that are already ocurring naturally in your vagina) that you can get at pharmacies and that help ward of further yeast infections. Did your partner ever participate in the treatment? Otherwise you have a so-called ping-pong effect where he continues to infect you, every time you have sex.

512442 tn?1216259500 to avoid the grossness of putting yogurt on your hoo-ha, try yogurt pills (acidophillus) or buy AZO Yeast, I've used AZO Yeast pills for all my yeast infections and it relieves it in a day or two. These pills are a combination of natural herbs and yogurt cultures and it balances your vaginal PH. That stuff is awesome, it relieves the itching and burning in a couple of hours too. Yogurt is ok but doesn't work as fast.
Avatar f tn I don't have much info so the best I can tell you is to keep working with your Dr. Maybe try posting in women's health and see if anyone there has some info for you.
Avatar n tn You didn't say if you were male or female. Women are susceptible to a whole bunch of things that men are not. Just throwing out some additional ideas here ... Have you also considered problems related to clothing, natural fibers like cotton vs. synthetics that don't "breath" as well, in addition to the perfumes and dyes in laundry detergents to which you could have a reaction. And switching soaps to something milder, especially whatever you are using to shave.
Avatar f tn I have been having complications with yeast infections, someone suggested taking a natural supplemental probiotic, since I can't stomach yogurt, has anyone ever done so while pregnant? I've read online and can't seem to get a straight answer.
