Avatar f tn How do they test for yeast infections? I had an appointment about a week and a half ago and told my midwife I thought I had a uti because I always had to pee but when I went , nothing came out. so she made me pee in a cup. They never called me back so I'm guessing I don't have one. But, now that symptom went away and I'm just really itchy down there! I know that's a sign of yeast infection but do you think she tested my pee for that too when I went last time ???

Avatar n tn Is this true? Or is this a home remedy only for yeast infections? At this point I feel I am going back and forth between yeast infections and low estrogen symptoms. Needless to say I am losing my mind and am in agony. Any suggestions? OR home remedies? Baths? Anything would help.
20797525 tn?1510602613 A few times I would put deodorant on and it would sting to high heaven. Then I noticed that classic yeast smell. I tried all types of treatments with no result, relief or answers. It slowly started to spread and now is underneath my breasts, around my naval, and under both arms. I went to every doctor I could afford trying to relieve the infection. Every visit ending the same with a prescription for Diflucan, topical nystatin and steroid cream or drying powders. NOTHING WORKS.

I have been to my gynecologist multiple times for this issue and I get no where. I am currently dealing with another yeast infection which is much worse this time.
Avatar f tn Hi there congratulations on getting past the 12 week mark. My advice is to avoid all sugar and if you can get your hands on sachromyces cerevisae boulardii taken 2-3 times daily plus probiotics double dose. Not sure which country you're in. in australia sachromyces comes in a couple of brands- "bioceuticals sb floractiv" "metagenics sb dysbiosis" are a couple of them.

6709254 tn?1389303349 I checked myself and my obgyn checked me to a few days before. at first I thought it was just a yeast infection but when I went to the doc he said it was a yeast infection and an outbreak. They gave me medicine for the teat infection and told me to start taking the dosage of my valtrex. So I did and when the doctor told me he saw nothing and I didn't see or feel anything....I thought it was over. Anyways we had sex and I used baby oil as a lube.
Avatar n tn My GF has a yeast infection and also some illness that makes her cough a lot (it may not be bronchitis). The yeast infection has spread to me, and although I have temporary relief using MICONAZOLE NITRATE, the tip of the foreskin still has some flakeyness and it feels like the foreskin is shrinking. I posted this because I noticed that someone else had the same problem and also mentioned that the girl may have bronchitis. Could there be a link?

6014380 tn?1378523315 If you are having chronic yeast infections you may want to try some things at home that may be the cause of reoccurring yeast infections. First of all, make sure you are not were clothes that cause yeast infections such as tight fitting clothing such as skinny jeans or tight fitting pants. It's important that your vagina to have adequate air flow bc tight fitting pants can cause the airflow to be low and with the riding of temp to your vaginal area is a breathing ground for yeast infections.

Avatar f tn Has anyone had multiple yeast/BV infections? I've had 3 so far and I think I'm having another! I'm going to ob tomorrow and I'm sure I'll get some meds. It's frustrating. Anyone Else?!?! Please help.
Avatar f tn As far as I know, anti biotics are useless against 'yeast' infection. 'Yeast' is a fungus. Anti biotics are useful against 'bacterial' infections only. And the over use of anti biotics can lead to yeast infections as the anti biotics break down the body's own natural defenses. Your use of the word 'prone' makes me wonder if she has received too many anti biotics. I would suggest that you try to build up 'her' natural defense system.
713383 tn?1232483914 His ears smell terrible, which leads me to believe he is getting chronic yeast infections in his ears. What causes this and is there some alternative, perhaps herbal supplement I can give him since traditional medicine seems to be failing? This has been going on for years now and they just keep coming back. I am wondering if they are ever really going away. I feel terrible for him and am desperate to help him. It is costing me a fortune and hasn't provided him with any relief.
Avatar f tn it first came about from penecillin antibiotic that I took after my wisdom teeth came out. I have been to 2 doctors that have confirmed yeast infections, and been tested for STD's to make sure and they came back negative. My first doctor prescribed me with a terazole (3 night applicator cream) and when that didn't work prescribed me 1 diflucole pill. That gave me relief for about a week until my infection came back.
Avatar f tn Monistat works like a charm for yeast infections! That's what my doctor told me I could take. Just over the counter. He recommended the 7-day treatment. Baby is protected by the bubble she's in, so the medication does not get to him/her. Perfectly safe! Unless as previously said, you have any other complications. I would talk to your doctor before you do anything. And like they said, anti biotics are needed for a bacterial infection. Good luck!
