yeast-infection

Avatar n tn Its very common to get multiple yeast infections during pregnancy. There isn't really any way of preventing as hormones change constantly. Speak with your doctor to see about preventatives but I've learned they don't help much.
Avatar f tn Is there anyway to prevent yeast infections? Other than staying clean down there. This is my 4th pregnancy and I get them constantly throughout my pregnancy. I'm 4 weeks along and already have developed my first one.
Avatar f tn I was on a very low 50 dose but it ask made me sick and gave my husband a yeast infection. I stopped taking it and now I have another one. I'm 38 weeks and praying I don't get a yeast infection again. I don't take baths anymore. Only use summers eve soap. Practically shower after sex.

Avatar f tn Your hormones are different and your immune system is weakened from pregnancy. I've had 2 thrush infections and treatment hasn't kept it away. Thrush is a oral yeast infection.
Avatar f tn The odor means the infection has not cleared up and you may need a different antibiotic, either pills and/or cream. You may have a propensity to yeast infections and adding cranberry juice or cranberry pills and yogurt to your diet may also help but see the Dr. first to get this cleared up.
Avatar f tn I think I am getting yeast infections but I don't know...
Avatar f tn Has anyone had more than one yeast infection since the start of pregnancy? I'm 20 weeks 1 day and I'm on my 3rd yeast infection. I can't stand the itching. It is driving me crazy. I can't have sex (oral or vaginal), heck I can't even masturbate. I had to run out of the store today because the itching was so darn bad. I'm constantly dry, I only wear cotton underwear and I eat a nutritious diet. What do you do to prevent this?
1168718 tn?1464983535 with ms, but I have had the same exact question. I was wondering if I had continuous yeast infections and if it had something to do ms. I had recently gone for my annual Pap and all tests were clear for infection..... so what has been causing the "itch". My doc. said that in the beginning (5 months ago) it could have been yeast and I treated it, but to me it kept coming back, or so I thought, she said I must have treated it with the OTC inserts and it went away. But to this day...
Avatar n tn I know how uncomfortable yeast infections are. You were swabbed I take it and it is definitely yeast? I suggest you try a probiotic which helps right the balance of good bacteria in your body. But what might be beneficial right now is to get your hormones checked Sometimes, producing too much estrogen makes it more common to have yeast overgrowth. This is why some women get yeast infections frequently before their period. Being on birth control pills can help even out the hormones.
Avatar f tn Taking birth control/hormone treatment pills – As your body adjusts to a new regimen of contraceptives or hormone treatment, you may experience yeast infections. With treatment and after adapting to the introduction of hormones, these symptoms should go away.
Avatar f tn Yeast infections are because of the same reason-hormones. Just means an abundant or rapid change in hormones and PH levels. Eat lots of yogurts. Preferably the Greek kind.
Avatar f tn I was having servere pain in my middle back in the right side so at 1 am on the 5th I went to the er at that point was 22 weeks and 4 days they admitted me into labor and delivery where they found out the pain was due to a kidney infection they kept me on an IV with antibiotics until I was discharged this morning they sent me home with more antibiotics to take to finish fighting the infection but since I got home this morning my vagina has been kinda itchy when I itch it it hurts could that be a
Avatar f tn I've heard you can take monistat for a yeast infection. But I would talk to your doctor first. Treatment for a yeast is different than bacterial, and you should make sure you don't have any other complications before starting something.
Avatar f tn I'm 26, no I don't take birth controls. I'm not even sure how I got hormonal imbalance. My doctor said it's stress, and that my estrogen level is at 203. I'm not sure if that's high. My sex hormones I don't have it anymore either. I constantly keep getting yeast infections. And I have to keep seeing the doctor for fluconazole but it isn't working at all.
189192 tn?1261341628 I've never been prone to yeast infections but last cycle and this cycle, I keep getting a strange discharge that looks like a possible yeast infection. I even treated it this cycle already once and it is back. I really have no other symptoms other than my discharge looks like it has some ricotta cheese mixed in it. Sorry for TMI, but it is what it is. Anybody else experiencing recurrent yeast infections with injectables?
Avatar f tn Call your ob, like I just did lol, they'll prescribe you what's safe for you to take. I get yeast infections maybe once a trimester & they can be uggghgh! Pregnancy hormones can trigger an imbalance of your ph & yeast and cause yeast infections throughout pregnancy, not just early pregnancy. I'm 24wks. Baby #3. Soaps, detergents, tight clothes, not airing out, different clothing materials...etc.
Avatar f tn Hi there congratulations on getting past the 12 week mark. My advice is to avoid all sugar and if you can get your hands on sachromyces cerevisae boulardii taken 2-3 times daily plus probiotics double dose. Not sure which country you're in. in australia sachromyces comes in a couple of brands- "bioceuticals sb floractiv" "metagenics sb dysbiosis" are a couple of them.
Avatar f tn Have your partner use a condom as yeast can go back and forth. Douse a tampon in tree tea oil and insert. Take a salt bath. And keep regularly taking the probiotics. And if it continues, you need to look into things like having a weakened immune system. Take a good multi vitamin daily. And the other thing to look into is diabetes if this chronic condition continues. Let me know what you think.
Avatar m tn Well all can be related that you mention. Your hormones can be out of whack and hence, leading to ph problems within and the discharge problems you've noticed but these hormones could also throw off your period. Things like vaginal infections, yeast infections can also throw off a period. Stress can be linked as well. I'm sure you've taken a pregnancy test, right? that would be the thing to do at this point if you haven't.
1386765 tn?1451164337 Yeast infections are extremely common during menstruation and during Pregnancy hormones can trigger yeast overproduction ..its possible but rare to be allergic to semen ...start a pro biotic and tons of yogurt this will build up good bacteria that keeps yeast in check ..
Avatar f tn if you describe it as having yellow in it my doc normally would prescribe aplicators for a possible yeast infection too, I would just bring it up at your next apt so that if there is any infection they can treat it as vaginal infections during pregnancy could cause preterm labor, I go through this between bladder infections and yeast infections I feel like im always on antibiotics and my doc says its normal for preggers women to get more infections down there cause of the increase in discharge a
Avatar f tn hello...dosomebody kknow...diferents between-yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis?
Avatar f tn I used to get yeast infections every time I had intercourse. The only way I was able to stop this from happening was by douching with a vinegar and water rinse right after having sex. It was a major inconvenience but it definitely stopped the ongoing yeast infections. And on those occasions when I was too "lazy" or "relaxed" to get up and douche, the infection would return without fail. A vinegar douche really does help, but it is a major "mood disrupter.
Avatar f tn It sounds like a yeast infection. It has nothing to do with cleanliness, just hormones.
Avatar n tn And last, eat yogurt and try buying AZO YEAST homeopathic pills, its just a bunch of natural herbs but it helps to clear off the burning and itching sensation that happens with yeast infections and it will help regulate the imbalance in your vaginal flora. Your hormones will start regulating soon, just avoid wearing anything that makes you too hot and sweaty down there and always pee right after sex.
Avatar f tn Yeast infections, uti's, bladder infections and even some bacterial infections are all common during pregnancy.
