Avatar f tn At the time, I experienced a major drop in my immune system. I got PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) and multiple UTI and yeast infections. After a few months, everything cleared up and all was okay until lately. Now, almost a year and a half later, I have another very painful PID. My questions are: Is the PID caused by HPV? I've been screened for other STDs and I'm all clear. Did I contract PID from a sexual partner?

Avatar f tn Back again and it has only been 1 hour! Go figure. The discharge has now become extremely light and is just yellow. No itching, no burning. The Monistat 1 has worked well for me. Just give it sometime. If it doesn't lighten within two days, seek medical attention. Make sure to avoid heat, and sugar! Sugar is infamous in making yeast infections worse. I'm a prime example of that fact.
Avatar m tn If needed a throat culture will show the growth and the antibiotics to which the pathogens are most susceptible to. During culture it would be worthwhile to test for yeast infections also besides bacterial infections. Viral infections are by exclusion and do not need any antibiotic therapy unless there are superadded infections. Hope this clarifies your doubts. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Avatar m tn Green tea and green tea supplements have become very popular in the last few years and have been touted as a panacea for many illnesses. While drinking green tea may be beneficial, there is less evidence to support the use of green tea extract, which is often marketed and used for weight loss. While there is some evidence to support this, there may be some risk. In a Clinical Observation published in The Annals of Internal Medicine (2006; 144: 68-69), Dr.

My doctor has said its hard to get rid of yeast infections during pregnancy, but if ur saying you have green discharge, that does not sound like a yeast infection, go back to your doctor asap and get it checked as it might be another type of infection and you shouldnt leave it untreated for the sake of you and your baby!

Have you ladies ever: 1. given your man a yeast infection or 2. had candida glabrata/or any yeast infection thats been resistant to medicine and what did you do I visited a dermatologist and they said it was just dry irritated skin, which I have a really hard time believing given the way it looks.

639543 tn?1297027634 I would first contact your doctor and make sure that it is a yeast infection and not something else. I got a yeast infection during my 2nd trimester and was told that monistat 3 was safe to take. But again check with your doctor before you do anything.
Avatar f tn I actually heard that green tea is not a great idea. I TTC for 8 months before resorting to IVF and drastically tried to cut down my caffiene intake during that time. I was advised by my acupuncturist to drink black or red tea only and not that much of it. Honestly though I don't think any of this makes a huge difference. I tried everything and nothing worked for me, I am a healthy 31 year old who was eventually diagnosed with 'unexplained infertility'.
