yeast-infection

Avatar f tn I am 30 yr old male . I have frequent urination since 2 months. KUB, urine analysis, urine culture and diabtic tests have been done. No infections were found. I had white discharge thrice in this two months. And burning sensation after ejaculation. The problem gets worst once ejaculated.some times urine passes as two streams. One with thinnner stream and other as a drops.(not always this stream).
Avatar n tn Some women are more likely to have frequent yeast infections. Like me for example, and I don't take birth control. I take diflucan every month to every two months. LOL just try keeping the area dry, cotton panties are good, no scented soaps or tampons. No scented lotions or liners and maybe changing your birth control would help also. Just remember it could always be worse.
Avatar f tn Since Candida may be present in the normal vagina and yeast infections can occur in celibate women, it is not considered to be a typical sexually transmitted infection (STD). Treatment of male sex partners who do not develop symptoms of an infection is not considered necessary by most experts since sexual activity is not a significant cause of infection. However, it is possible for men to develop symptoms after sexual intercourse with an infected partner. I hope this helps! take care!
Avatar f tn I have had 2 bladder infections recently and then a yeast infections right after due to being on the meds for so long. Make sure you ask them about taking a pro biotic so that doesnt happen because yeast infections are so annoying. But its very common and dont be surprised if you get another. Just try to drink more and more water. It will help flush out the infection as well.
Avatar f tn symptoms of uti includes frequent urination and pressure on bladder.
Avatar n tn I have frequent yeast infections and my Dr says it's normal but I'm just wondering if it's commin.
Avatar f tn t get a hold of my family practitioner, so I tried a daily boric acid suppository for the BV starting Friday night. The following day, Saturday, I had symptoms of a UTI. Mainly frequent urination and irritated bladder. Since I had leftover Bactrim, I started taking that Saturday evening. I called my family practitioner as soon as possible (which was on Monday since the clinic is closed on weekends and she doesn't work on Fridays).
Avatar f tn I am a 25 year old female and for the past year or so now I have been getting sudden and frequent urges to urinate. I urinate at least once an hour and most of the time I feel like I have to go again about 15-20 minutes later. It seems to be worse when I'm laying down. I have never experienced incontinence and do not have a urinary tract infection.
Avatar f tn Urinary tract (which consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra) infections are very common in young women. Symptoms of UTI are frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, passing of blood in urine and even fever. The most common causes of repeated UTIs are kidney stones and diabetes mellitus. Women who are sexually active, who use diaphragms for birth control, and/or are past menopause are at an increased risk for urinary tract infections.
Avatar n tn However, i was still experiencing symptoms so i went back a second time and they found a small amount of infection and gave me the same medication and dosage as the first UTI in October, IM STILL HAVING THE SAME SYMPTOMS! I’m having frequent urination and abdominal and back pain, no burning or blood in my urine. Recently i’ve been having more frequent bowel movements then usual, also gas and brown discharge, i’m not sure if they’re all related.
Avatar n tn Dear Doc(s), Oct ’05 had a low risk encounter with unknown partner (where my precum got exposed to her vagina for about 30 seconds, and i dont recall having any other penentration; just handjob with lotion). I got tested at the six week interval and was fine. No symptoms until April ’06 when I had to get treated for tonsillitis. No major probs after that. Low risk encounters in Aug ’06 and Dec ’06.
393893 tn?1283551230 t think he has a bladder infection because there is no pain involved and when he feels like he has to go a significant or normal amount comes out. I know with bladder infections there is pain and alot of the time when you feel like you have to go and try, either nothing comes out or only a few drops. I've posted this in the Men's Health forum as well so sorry if you've already read this. He is wondering if he should get his prostate checked? Thank you in advance for any help!
Avatar f tn That sounds like a yeast infection, when you have a UTI it causes frequent urination and sharp pains in your abdomen but you can also google it up that's what I do when I'm not sure about things
Avatar f tn Swelling and painful itching can be a sign of a yeast infection. Frequent urination with pain could be a bladder infection. The rash later that day could have been an allergic reaction caused by lubricants (even water based can give people an allergic reaction) or condoms (although it doesn't sound like you used one?). There are even odd cases of women being allergic to a man's sperm. If your partner has a sexual history or any known STDs or STD symptoms you should probably get checked.
Avatar m tn Night sweats/ frequent urination/ pain in my chest and back/ Pain when I eat to my chest and back/ tired. I wake up because the pain is so bad I am fatigued all the time. shortness of breath. swelling of adomin. My weight willgo up and down by about 5 lbs. Recently I had two teeth removed but the same symptoms and infections still occur.
Avatar f tn I have been experiencing frequent urination for the past 2 months. I do not experience any other symptoms. I do not have any burning or pain. I just feel the urge to urinate every 1-2 hours. The color of my urine is also normal. There has been no change in the amount of fluids i consume. My thyroid is normal and i am not diabetic. Also, my urinalysis and urine culture have come out normal. What could be causing this?
Avatar f tn So now you have take two antibiotics which have caused an imbalance in your intestinal bacterial flora which may have caused the C.diff to start with or not and in addition you have yeast over growth. So now you are on Nystatin to control the yeast and probably have the C. diff back again or if you didn't have it to start with you do now. So you will probably have to go back on Metronidazole but then you have the peripheral neuropathy to contend with.
Avatar f tn I'm 13.4 weeks pregnant & I'm not sure if I have a UTI or a yeast infection. I have frequent urination but I do drink tons of water. When I have intercourse it burns & right after sex if I pee it burns but when I pee it doesn't always burn. The doctor's office doednt open till monday & I'm not sure if these infections harm my baby. Help ?! Thank you.
489798 tn?1270476475 Also, the difference between UTI frequent urination and pregnancy frequent urination is with pregnancy your bladder feels full, but a UTI you are uncomfortable and feel like you need to just pee to get comfortable, your bladder doesn't feel full. Yeast infections are itchy and don't make you need to urinate. You will get a creamy-cheese like discharge. I suffer from UTI's a lot, and this is my 2nd pregnancy so I can tell the difference.
Avatar f tn to go, I actually go...and go...and go some more. About every 30 minutes to an hour. It has progressively been getting worse. I am in my mid 20's and am healthy besides that. I have had UTI's in the past and doubt I have one for I am in no pain whatsoever, I am 115 pounds and eat healthy so I doubt diabetes, and I dont think it is overactive bladder for I read that you get an "urge" to pee but dont actually go a whole ton.
Avatar n tn Or could it be a yeast infection? I read that yeast infections can spread by skin contact and by touching your genitals and spreading it to your eyes and mouth. My scrotum is red and the head of my penis is a bit red. Is this possibly a yeast infection i spread with my hands?
Avatar n tn There are many good over-the-counter and prescription antifungal medications that effectively treat and cure most yeast infections. As an additional measure, watching what you eat may help. Diet recommendations for someone with frequent yeast infections include lowering sugar, increasing yogurt (without sugar) in the diet, and taking probiotics. Go to your health food store and buy a refrigerated type probiotic! I suggest seeing your doctor.
Avatar f tn It's common to get yeast infections during pregnancy even if you have not had them before. The urination would be due to the pregnancy but minor yeast infection symptoms could come and go....Days when you wear nylon underwear vs. cotton, work out, are seated more could bring on syptoms where on other days wearing cotton, breathable underwear and things staying dry downstairs you could be symptom free. If you don't shower reg.
Avatar f tn I went through years of having supposed yeast infections. My doctor kept saying it was diabetes related. I kept having a discharge, not cottage cheese like but thin and smelly. I ended up at the University of Michigan for a biopsy because I would bleed and tear and I wasn't having sex and I had a hysterectomy. I found out I had an very rare auto immune disease. It is like lichen planus. If you have white patches and weird stuff it could be something other than a yeast infection.
Avatar f tn the urologist also said i have a high-pressure bladder and put me on enablex. unfortunately i still get infections. my urine gets a musty, strong smell and a cloudy color to it -thats when i know an infection is coming. the urologist says i might have a burning bladder. what is that? and how is it different to an infection? he does not believe that i have infections -but then what is it? and why does my urine burn like it does? i also suffer from candida albicans. could this be related?
Avatar f tn I have frequent urination and burning, itchiness, soreness and now two bumps on my groin. Sounds just like an STI, but could I be lucky? Fingers crossed.
Avatar f tn Since Christmas I have been experiencing back pain on the right side, frequent urination again and occasional lower right abdominal and pelvic pain. Am waiting for an ultrasound to determine whether I have a kidney stone or fibroidsa(due to occasional spotting after intercourse), however the last couple of days the abdominal pain has worsened and I now have an ammonia-like smell in my urine. Could the original thought of kidney stones be the right one??
Avatar f tn Go to you gynecologist an get checked out. it is possible your boyfriend has a yeast infection. semen not probable.
Avatar m tn They came back negative but my doctor said the urine had a bit of white cells... and I only found out 2 days ago that I had yeast infection from antibiotics so I am on 6 day pessary treatement. Why would i still have frequent urge to urinate...???
