Avatar n tn Hi moms and moms to be. Has anyone had yeast infection during their pregnancy? What are the symptoms? And what helps cure/prevent it?
8545457 tn?1399249730 My last treatment was oral antibiotics and it may have caused a yeast infection. I have been experiencing the most intense itching in my vaginal area than ever for a little over a week now. Kinda difficult not to scratch when it itch that bad. I had an appointment today and doc took a culture so hopefully he figure out a way to help me because this is horrible I even take more showers than usual as if it's gonna help the itching. Is there a way to sooth the itching?
Avatar f tn I been having yeast infection on and off and haven't been treating it cause it only last a day or two. Now I have a yeast infection and it last over 2 days. I need to call my doctor tm sap.
Avatar f tn For the itching apply greek yogurt outside your vagina and that will cure the itching and also help with getting rid of the yeast since yogurt has probiotics. You can google all of this and see that it is true! I had a yeast infection at week 23 and was prescribed monistat by my doctor for it and it gave me a horrible allergy, so then my doula recommended what I mentioned above and the next doctor appointment they did a test to see if I had it and it came back negative! Good luck!
Avatar m tn Anyone have any advice? I have a yeast infection and my Dr told me monsitat is safe to take so I bought the oral capulase and took it then thought after maybe that isn't safe and I should have got the suppository kind. Any know if it's ok to take the Oral medicine? Even though what is done is done.
Avatar f tn ve always just used plain Greek yogurt for yeast infections. My doctor is absolutely useless for things like that. If I call for an appointment she won't ever see me for something like a yeast infection...well, I mean she will bit they will schedule my appointment 30 days from when I need it. So, instead of shoving medications into my vagina I rub cold Greek yogurt around the outside labia and it cools really well and instantly stops the itching. I also put it inside my vagina...
Avatar f tn I read that home remedies for a yeast infection are unsweetened yogurt, garlic and lots of water. I have been applying yogurt to the area once or twice a day and i tried a garlic paste but it stung super bad. I also took a hot bath with apple cider vinegar in the water last night. I guess my question is, is it normal for symptoms to come in intervals like mine have? Also any other treatments to suggest and do you guys think this is what i have? Should i try monistat or something?
Avatar f tn Could be a yeast infection, usually that's associated with the itching, also any new or extra discharge. Maybe try an itching cream, eating yogurt with live cultures, staying hydrated and staying eeeextra hygienic and if it worsens or persists call doc. I hope you figure it out, sounds really uncomfortable!

Avatar n tn OK in the beginning of April of this year I was 12 weeks pregnant and had some burning and itching in my vaginal area so I went to the Drs. and they said it was a yeast infection and gave me a 3 day cream to take for it and it cleared up. I am now 16 weeks pregnant and the other day the same symptoms came back and I am wondering is it a yeast infection? If so why did it come back again so quick after being cured, I never had that happen before in my life. Last time I had one was 2 years ago.
Avatar f tn Let your dr know. I would think a yeast infection. I eat a Greek yogurt everyday, that doesn't cure any infection but helps keep your hormones, bacteria ph balanced. Maybe also try a different soap in the shower stay away from ones that's are high in perfume.
Avatar f tn Has the dr checked for a bacterial infection i thought i had a yeast infection it turned out to be a bacterial infection
Avatar f tn A yeast infection would not go away, you would be itching until you bleed today if left untreated, and it would burn like it 's on fire. A yeast infection, which does produce smells, burning & itching can be cured by inserting one freeze dried acidolophis (it's yogurt!) tablet a day for 6 days. NO more, or you will get a acidolophis overgrowth, which doesn't smell, but it does itch.
Avatar f tn Its a great home remedy to treat and prevent it. Google yogurt for yeast infection to better educate yourself. Yeast infection are just were your bodies chemical levels are off balanced. Yogurt has lactobacillus acidopillus (I'm sure I didn't spell that right) but it something like that. This is found in the vagina and eating yogurt helps balance your ph levels back. Google it or ask your doctor about. Good luck.
Avatar n tn It's probably a yeast infection I started itching severely and didn't know what it was I bought the 3 day treatment for yi it helped lessen the itch but it didn't go away then it increased so I used the cream that came w the 3 day kit that didn't work used extra strength vagisil that didn't work then yesterday I went to the Dr she did a pelvic and tooka swab of discharge and told me that my month long itch was from a yi and she said that at home treatment only works 50% of th
Avatar f tn t take antibiotics if you have a yeast infection as it will only make it worse. Yeast is a fungal infection not bacterial and when you take antibiotics it also kills off good bacteria that would normally keep the yeast in check. If you have a constant problem with yeast infections I would talk to your pharmacist about taking a probiotic or eat yogurt everyday as that helps keep good bacteria in your body and with keep the yeast down.
