Sorry to hear that. Monistat is probably the only med they recommend for yeast infection during pregnancy. Can't your doc prescribe something?? How long can you go on like this? Good luck to you. I hope it goes away!

sorry guys if tmi. i got a yeast infection from a antibiotic just before i fell pregnant and fell pregnant while treating it with canestan 7 day cream. it didnt go away and it keeps getting worse. i have used the 7 day cream about 5 times now with no help only relief from the itching and painful sex for about 2 days after i finished the treatment. i have had it my entire pregnancy and im 18 weeks now.

This is a nightmare. And tomorrow I will be getting the yogurt.. personal question..can I insert the yogurt since I don't like eating it?

Anyone have any advice? I have a yeast infection and my Dr told me monsitat is safe to take so I bought the oral capulase and took it then thought after maybe that isn't safe and I should have got the suppository kind. Any know if it's ok to take the Oral medicine? Even though what is done is done.

So I during my check up last week my doctor informed me that I have a yeast infection. I was asymptomatic and had no clue I had one till he said so. He prescribed me an antifungal which is a class c drug. I didnt feel comfortable taking that so I did some research and found out that garlic has anti yeast properties and is natural. Since I didnt want to just be shoving garlic in my 'cooter' fearing infection etc.

Okay this sounds crazy but it works, if you have access to plain unsweetened yogurt, dip a tampon in the yogurt, insert it and leave it in there for about 2 hours twice a day. That should help with the itch until you're able to get to the pharmacy.

I got a UTI first then they gave me antibiotics that caused a yeast infection and I had to get my yeast infection treated and the medication still didnt help the yeast infection was still there but now its gotten better but they said I have some kind of bacteria infection now. but all you can really do is ask ur doctor for medication and something that could help ease the irritation which really isnt much they can offer.

after finishing the course I developed a yeast infection I wana know if the candid v tablets is safe to insert so close to my due date or can I use some thing else?

if you have no medical insurance go to a pharmacy and get an over the counter medication like monistat or vagisil. those are always better. a yeast infection is from your ph being imbalanced so just rinsing daily will not make it go away. some doctors suggest eating more yogurt but it's always on top of taking medication.

I just went through a bad yeast infection while pregnant with twins. I first tried yogurt but it wasn't working quick enough. Asked the doctor and was advised to take Monistat 7. It takes some time to heal but it's safe because the medicine is not as highly concentrated as in Monistat 1 or 3. I hope you feel better soon!

If you go with the 7 day Monistat, then keep your applicator for future use with yogurt. Almost every woman gets more than one yeast infection during their lives and it's nice to have the applicator on hand to use with yogurt. It sure is a lot cheaper.... smiles.

Its a great home remedy to treat and prevent it. Google yogurt for yeast infection to better educate yourself. Yeast infection are just were your bodies chemical levels are off balanced. Yogurt has lactobacillus acidopillus (I'm sure I didn't spell that right) but it something like that. This is found in the vagina and eating yogurt helps balance your ph levels back. You could try inserting plain yogurt into your vagina. This kills yeast infection. Make sure it is plain and nothing with sugar or fruit...and not vanilla. Just plain yogurt. If you use tampons, this is the easiest way. If not, get the type of syringe they use to give babies medicine with. Fill the syringe with the yogurt and insert it into your vagina this way. You could also use your finger to insert it, but this would take a long time. It may take a few days to work, but it should help.

This also has happened to me and it is yeast infection and you can cure this by taking medication or if you don't want to go see a doctor then you can eat a tub of plain unsweetened yogurt everyday and or put some on a tampon and insert into vagina or get a clove of garlic and tie a string and insert into the vagina or eat garlic by mixing it in with daily foods and drinking cranberry juice up to 7 times a day

t take antibiotics if you have a yeast infection as it will only make it worse. Yeast is a fungal infection not bacterial and when you take antibiotics it also kills off good bacteria that would normally keep the yeast in check. If you have a constant problem with yeast infections I would talk to your pharmacist about taking a probiotic or eat yogurt everyday as that helps keep good bacteria in your body and with keep the yeast down.
