Common Questions and Answers about Yeast infection yellow discharge

infection

Avatar f tn Well you could've developed a yeast infection since 27 weeks and now..and yellow discharge is usually a big sign of yeast infection, especially with the chunky consistency. Weird discharge is generally normal during pregnancy - some odd stuff will come out of your vagina! BUT if you are truly concerned please ask your doctor. It's much better safe than sorry, and you don't want to be stressing out about it if it's nothing.

Avatar f tn Hi, I'm about 6 weeks pregnant and was wondering if anyone else had yellow discharge? They had me do something for a yeast infection, but it doesn't seem to help? They also said there's no sign it could be an STD either, so I'm kind of freaking out. Any suggestions?

Avatar f tn I keep having yellow discharge & like a burning sensation on and off. Iv heard tho that increased discharge could cause some type of irritation down there ... but then idk if the yellow disharge could be pee or not because it kind of smells like it sometimes i cant tell , im always wearing a pantie liner due to increased discharge . Im just waiting for my dr to call me back so i can try to get an appointment. But idk if i should ask them to do a swab or check down there if its normal....
Avatar n tn As far as I know it was nothing but I would talk to your doctor tomorrow. I know I did end up having a urinary infection and a yeast infection sometime after seeing the discharge because I never told anybody. Here's what it says in my pregnancy book: If the discharge becomes a yellow-green, develops a stronger smell, or your vulva, vagina, and anal region become reddened and painful, particularly when you urinate, tell your prenatal caregivers.
Avatar n tn I had minimal itching, and am very red/irritated. Naturally I thought it was a yeast infection and treated myself with OTC monistat. Today (sunday) I notice the color of the discharge now has yellow in it...and it stings to pee. Im going to make an appointment to se my OBGYN tomorrow morning. Any ideas or a heads up on what Im dealing with or facing. The sex was protected. Im confused and worried.
Avatar f tn I'm so happy I've made it to 15 weeks!! But is it normal for my discharge to be light yellow? Its not green or dark and I have no real other symptoms. I just don't know if its a yeast infection or not. I have an appt on the 10th. Should I wait or get it checked out?
Avatar n tn Yes, I would say a yeast infection and from my past with yeast infections I should know. You'll know if its yeast or not, because once you have your period your infection will be gone, if its yeast. It could also be a bacterial infection, and therefore there are antibacterials you can get from your doctor. But dont fret too much, they nether one, are a big deal.
Avatar f tn Sorry for the TMI but I have been experiencing so much discharge lately. It feels like I peed my pants, I have to wear a tampon so it will stop. It started out white and now its a yellow color. It smells really bad like fish. I also have started experiencing horrible cramps and I normally don't even get cramps when I'm on my period. My roommates keep saying its a yeast infection but I think it must be something worse because it does not itch at all.
Avatar f tn a few days later i started itching really bad down there and i noticed a thick cottage cheese like discharge. i have gotten treatment for a yeast infection cause thats what it looks and feels like (I've had them before). i used the treatment yesterday. and today the discharge was like a really thick yellow color. there is no odor. could the yellow discharge be the medicine? cause i asked my mom and she said it could be some kind of STD.
Avatar f tn I've had yellow discharge and burning when I pee for a year now. I've been tested for STI's they came back negative. I was just retested for chylmidia and ghonnera also negative! I'm scared because they told me at the gyno all it is is yeast but I've been through so many Diflucans with no relief! I do take alot of antibiotics because I get sinus infections alot. Could this cause a yeast infection so bad that Diflucan is not working? I now have to go to a specialist.
1626827 tn?1299434776 o A thick, white, itchy, cottage cheese-like non-odorous discharge is often caused by a yeast infection. Common Causes of an Abnormal Vaginal Discharge * Vaginitis: Vaginitis is a general term that means "vaginal inflammation." Vaginal discharge and genital itching are the symptoms of vaginitis. Avatar f tn I had yellow discharge and it was a yeast infection. No itching or anything just yellow discharge.
Avatar n tn You could possibly have a yeast infection. Does it itch down there or burn when you use the bathroom?
Avatar f tn Has anyone had a yeast infection while been pregnant? What were your symptoms and how did you clear it?
Avatar f tn When I first decided that I had a yeast infection, my vagina was irritated and itching and I had the cottage cheese type discharge. I took Monistat 1 about 3 days ago and my vagina is still irritated and I'm having A LOT more discharge then I had before it doesn't really itch anymore, but I'm worried that it's not working! HELP!
Avatar n tn how to get rid of vaginal discharge medically.its not a yeast infection or and STD. its yellow ish /white in color. what are medical ways to get rid of it?
Avatar f tn If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection. Make a doctor appointment.
1145751 tn?1262133453 ve never had pink discharge with a yeast infection. My biggest symptoms are always burning and itching. Its always best to have your doc check to make sure that's what you have and treat you with something safe during pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Most of the time the discharge is not yellow, but some women have reported having a yellow discharge with it. I agree that you need to see another doctor and get a second opinion.
Avatar f tn I made an appt to see my OB, and the day I went to see her, I had large amounts of light yellow cottage cheese like discharge. My OB did a culture, and while the culture came back as yeast positive, when said that the yellow color was indicative of something more serious. My doctor always makes things out to be no big deal so I am worried. Could this be indicative of herpes? have no lesions that I can see no flu like symptoms.... unless I have sores on my cervix. Thoughts?
