Thanks to all the information in the forums, I've just discovered the terrible rash & itch that has been growing between my legs for the past 8 weeks is "Jock Itch". All of the symptoms I have perfectly match those of Jock Itch except for one:
Is there an odor associated with Jock Itch? I have what seems like a yeast-like odor that is not strong, but noticable, and I haven't read anything relating this to Jock Itch.

i went to the free clinic 2 days ago and the doctor took a look and immediately said that its not an std. she said its just a simple sweat rash or jock itch or yeast etc. i left the clinic happy at the time.. but now i realize that i still dont really know what it is... and since then ive developed some more symptoms... the other night my scrotum became very uncomfortable and was redish, kinda leathery and the veins became darker and more visable.

Use Lotrimin cream or other antifungal cream for jock itch or foot fungus. It doesn't matter what it says it's for; the cream is all the same. Follow the directions on the tube. For the nail fungus, get pure tea tree oil and put that on your nail every day, twice a day if possible, but at least once a day. It will take months and it smells pretty much like turpentine, but it won't hurt you. There are oral antifungals, but they have the potential to harm your liver.

herpes won't just cause itching. you were on antibiotics, it is probably just jock itch and you can treat that with otc products. if you think it's more than jock itch, be seen again for a work up.
I was seen, looked at, and then told it was a yeast infection. Jock itch the doctor called it. Such a common problem with men but having no idea what fungal infections looked like I never would have come to that diagnosis myself. So I left after being given an anti fungal pill and a prescription for Econazole Nitrate feeling like an idiot for having just left the ER with jock itch.

If it's a yeast infection, any of the products they make for women's yeast infections would work. If it's jock itch, try a product made for it. You could start with a jock-itch cream, and if it doesn't work, move to a yeast-infection cream. All of those are available right on the shelf at the grocery store or the drugstore.

I went to a doctor and she said visually, it doesn't look like herpes (mostly because the bumps aren't blisters) and more like a yeast infection (which she claimed to be fairly uncommon on male genitalia). But when she felt for lymph nodes, she noticed mine were swollen and I had quite a few in my groin area.
When i first noticed the dots i went to the doctor and he gave me a cream to treat jock itch, yeast infection, ect. I was also tested for syphillis in which the test came back negative. The cream is not helping. Also there are two small sores on the base of my penis and the dots are still there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is really frustrating me.
