You can get a bacterial infection from having sex with someone who has one or just from having poor hygiene in general. What type of bacterial infection do you mean?

Can my boyriend also have yeast infection? he has no symptoms.. but if he doesnt get treatment will he then pass it back to me when i am cured??

A week after my boyfriend and I had sex, he got a yeast infection. I have no symptoms of anything but I've read that men usually get yeast infections from women. Does this mean I most likely gave it to him? And if so, how do I go about curing it and preventing it in the future?

Ummm, I;m not sure of exactly what you would use (always ask YOUR doctor first) but there are creams for vaginal discomfort due to yeast infections. I'm not sure if that would work for the burning. Also, when I have a yeast infection, I use 100% tea tree oil... but I don't know if that is safe if you are in pain.

I went to doctor on Friday for my strep b and was told I have an yeast infection... The last time me and my boyfriend had sex was a week before I found out about my yeast infection recently....then before I can tell him I have a yeast infection..he tells me that something isn't right with his penis that it is sore and he is walking stiff..I guessing he doesn't want it to rub because it's just that sore. I would contact your doctor to see about treatment for a yeast infection while ttc/IUI. You can pass a yeast infection back and forth between eachother. Its best to consult your doctor and see what the MD recommends. I would not self treat at this point.

My doctor has test for everything STD wise and I have come back clear. My test for yeast came back as heavy yeast. The yeast can cause all those symptoms you are having when it has overwhelmed your body like mine. I have been treating it with some pretty heavy stuff and it still comes back. The concern is why? Why does it keep coming back? My doctor is now testing for diabetes and possible thyroid problems.

Her doc took a swab and said no STS but yeast infection keeps comming back. y wife wants to ask her doctor for a sts test but I tell her yeast and sts are not realted. Is this correct?

if you are having SEX with your partner while you have a yeast infection,..then your partner then gets it to. BUT,..MEN SHOW NO SYMPTOMS!!! so you and your partner both need to be treated for the yeast infection or it becomes like a ping-pong game,....you get treated but you just get itback again after having sex with your partner.

BV isn't an std but just passed the same way. Basically if you have the bacteria, your partner would pick it up from you and have it on him. Then reinfect you with that same bacteria. But it isn't an STD. :>) Typically the medication given isn't the same as for a yeast infection. Yeast is actually a fungal infection which is different than bacteria. With bacteria, the medication is a pill and does have things to know about when taking it.

Sounds like you still have some kind of infection or you developed a yeast infection. See a Dr for a test if you can.

Syphilis takes 6 weeks for a conclusive result and herpes takes 4 months. Without you having symptoms I doubt that you have an STD. Your wife might have a yeast infection. Discharge is associated with gonorrhea and NGU. Did you only receive unprotected oral sex or did you also have unprotected vaginal/anal sex?
