now a few days ago i went to hosp coz of a yeast infection naturally i thought it was because of the antibiotics i was taking ..but they diagnosed me with trichomonas..now my husband says he never cheated do you think he did ?? coz he had these medicines that are meant to kill trichomonas..or any std..my quesion isdoes rocephin kill trichomonas?

m not exactly sure of how it came about or how common it is in infants but I know that if you go to a health food store and buy probiotics for infants, it usually helps with thrush. I've had thrush in my mouth as a teenager and I can tell you it was the WORST!! It's soo painful, so if your baby is very uncomfortable then you know why. I hope it clears up fast! If you are breastfeeding, I think that helps it go away quicker too!

I'm 16 weeks and I'm suffering from a horrible yeast infection. I took 7 days of terazol and 3 days of monistat. Neither helped. Creams usually don't on me. Diflucan is the only thing that works but my dr. said he doesn't prescribe it during pregnancy. I'm so sick of it. I'm miserable. Has anyone ever taken diflucan when they were pregnant? What are the side effects to the baby?

Biggest concern my i had baby now and she got yeast infection of diaper and thrush from second im just worry i have read diaper yeast rash is symptom of hiv in infants which is on and off applied alots of antifungal creams keep comming back after some days.she got yeast diaper after 5 days she born.i hope i will get answer from experts.im really thankful to you.

Hi. Did they ever check for yeast infection? Most likely yes. If you eat a diet high in sugar can sometimes cause imbalance of good vs bad bacteria. One great product that has helped many women with itchiness of the vagina is taking probiotocs daily.many doctors nowadays prescribe or recommend woman take probiotics after taking antibiotics in order to balance things out again. I even inserted a few probitics into my vagina to help get rid of yeast infection. Plus I take it everyday.

Honestly, in my opinion, babies are so wrapped up in this new world, all the new things going in for them, that a little cold (virus) hardly slows them down. it could be your baby is behind because she doesn't feel well all the time, and THAT is holding her back. Maybe not, but in either case I would push for them to figure it out. Chalking it all down to a virus is a lazy, sorry excuse. My point is, YOU DO know your child more than anyone.

When steroids are inhaled into the lungs to treat asthma it creates an immune suppression and can make the person more susceptible to infection. This is a scary thing for a mother not to mention your son and should be investigated further. I would recommend they refer you to a Immunologist,and have the level of antibodies your son has evaluated.

3 for more then a day ir caould be an ear infection, but they do not treat those with antibiotics usually anymroe and if she ever got one I suggest getting the antibiotic ear drops. They go to the area and work faster, less time on them and no threat of a yeast infection like from an oral antibiotic.
