yeast infection from nuvaring

I am experiencing the same on the nuva ring and really wanting to tell my husband I don't want to use it anymore. I thought I may be the only one experiencing that. I also had yeast. Sex was good before the nuvaring and there is no way it's not the nuvaring as your doctor may try and tell you so. I am scared to have sex because of how it may feel. I had sex with my husband yesterday and I'm still feeling discomfort today when I use the restroom like it's irrated.

if it was the NuvaRing you would've gotten symptoms right away. If you're having rashes and it hurts down in your lower regions you need to get to a gyno asap it could be anything from a severe yeast infection to an STD. GL and I certainly hope it's nothing serious.

You can take Luke warm baths , eat more yogurt to prevent BV or a Yeast infection from starting. I never got BV or Yeast from the odor you smell during the first week on the nuvaring. its not a fishy smell almost like a medicine but not strong. You can smell it after sex or just during the day .

The area itchs and it almost feels like a yeast infection, but there is no odor. I have been on Nuvaring for several years. I know I do not have an STD beause I have been to the OBGYN twice. Does anyone know if this is a yeast infection, or possibly something else. I was just taking antibiotics for a recent oral surgery.

t have any of the symptoms of a yeast infection, but we read that oral sex could cause my yeast infection. Is there anything that he could treat himself with to help me out? I have given him the external tube of Monistat, but it says its for itching, and he doesn't have anything??

I was on the Nuva Ring a couple years ago. It caused me to have a lot of discharge which wasn't a yeast infection. That was the reason why I switched back to the Pill. Just contact your doc and see what their opinion is about the discharge.

i used to have nuva ring, and i had noticed i started having UTI symptoms, it burned when i peed, my abdomen hurt really bad. the doctors kept giving me antibiotics telling me that it was a UTI and that it wouldnt last. After having a "UTI" once a month for a year. I went to see my gynecologist and she advised me to remove Nuva ring. I did so and since then i feel really good. ive been off it for a little over 3 months and i will never go back to it.

And secondly, could the irriation be related to the bumps? If so, what is it? Or is it because of my Nuvaring? My mother thinks I have a yeast infection because of it. Please help me out. Thanks.

I’m not sure if this is another yeast infection, or some sort of reaction I have having to my birth control, the nuvaring. I am also experiencing painful urination, feels like a uti but after drinking a lot of water, the pain subsides. I have been to the doctor multiple times and they run tests for all STDs as well as utis and vaginal problems, all the tests come back negative.

I have a few questions about the NuvaRing before I try it out: 1) Would I be getting UTI's or Yeast infections more? (I do get them very easily) 2) How do I take the NuvaRing out?? There's no string or anything attatched to it, such as a tampon has. And how far do you have to put it up? 3) Does NuvaRing make it difficult to have sex? Would he notice it? She did a swab test and I will hear back in 10 days, but she also gave me meds for a yeast infection as well as herpes. I took the pill she gave for the yeast infection and got monistat and have put cream on it and any pain I have had has gone away within the last 24 hours. I know the sores are still there, but they are smaller. Am I right to assume that a combo of all of the above has just lead to the most painful yeast infection ever?

I have been on birth control for several years. Last year i changed to necon 1/35 from the nuvaring wondering if that started it. Just last week i went back on nuvaring to see if this could be the case.I visited the doctor recently for my annual and forgot to mention the discharge (oops) but did tell him about the cramping, which he said did not raise any alarms. I went ahead and have him run an STI test on me just to check. Otherwise he said everything looked fine.

Had it hated it got terrible yeast infection it was horrible.

it just depends on the person it can give u yeast infections i use to get them alot but i use the nuvaring now n haven't got one i use non scented soaps i love the nuvaring so far

I had switched to a birth control called the nuvaring which i dont recommend by the way, and all of the sudden i start feeling nauseaous after eating, so i finally get back on Yaz, I still feel nauseaous after eating and now i have a discharge that looks like a yeast infection but i have no other symptoms of a yeast infection. So she encouraged me to try it again, and a week later I swear that it feels very swollen again. I have read about swelling from tissue irritation and vaginitis being caused by nuvaring, but I don’t want to make another appointment if I am just being paranoid and for them to tell me nothing is wrong again. All of the extra hormones, including the hormones inside of the semen, make your vagina very sensitive to semen. When i was on the nuvaring...semen burned. Nuvaring=hormones. No nuvaring and not pregnant=fine. Now 36 weeks pregnant and semen burns.

OK so about two months ago my discharge started getting heavier but I thought it was just from my birth control the nuva ring. But then it started turning to a yellowish cloudy color and an odor came along with that. Just recently I started bleeding during sex. The discharge is pretty heavy and the smell wont go away. I've had a lot of ongoing health issues which have included nausea, lightheadedness, blood sugar swings, etc. I had a doctor's appointment two weeks ago and she prescribed NuvaRing because I wanted to go on birth control. I felt really good for about a week besides some cramping, then I started getting really nauseous in the middle of the day on the 17th.

Uh, you are supposed to replace every month, the nuvaring is only good for 3 weeks at a time. Unless you are trying to get pregnant or get an infection of some kind I would recommend changing it out and making sure you aren't already pregnant before putting in a new one, hormones in birth control can cause harm to an unborn baby.
