Avatar m tn I am 16 years old and I have been having a yeast infection since the third grade. I have been treated three times as of last year and it still has not cleared. Could this be a sign of something else?? And yes it was checked and proven that it was a yeast infection.

Avatar n tn I am a little worried about my yeast infection. I have a question is it normal for it to be so itchy not just the vagina but the area around it and for some reason my anus itches too and seems to be pinker (inflamed). Is that normal?
Avatar f tn It never fails every time I get put on to antibiotics I get a yeast infection. So as I'm about to start a round of penicillin I was wondering if there are any home remedies I can try as I'd rather avoid medicating that part of my body at the moment. I will of course eat yogurt and drink cranberry juice while I take them. However, that never really helps me prevent a yeast infection. So any ideas for after the fact?

It would be best to see your Doctor so a pelvic examination can be performed. You may need antifungal pessaries. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar n tn I have had severe scrotal itching from a fungal infection every time I have sex with this woman, which is not often. I use a condom, so the infection comes from skin-to-skin contact and contact between my scrotum and her vaginal fluid. It is not an STD because I tested for everything including Herpes and results were all negative.
Avatar f tn s common to get yeast infections during pregnancy even if you have not had them before. The urination would be due to the pregnancy but minor yeast infection symptoms could come and go....Days when you wear nylon underwear vs. cotton, work out, are seated more could bring on syptoms where on other days wearing cotton, breathable underwear and things staying dry downstairs you could be symptom free. If you don't shower reg. you may have more symptoms further away from shower hour you go.

12693075 tn?1442246392 this is my 4th yeast infection during this pregnancy. Any advice?? I honestly think my husband has something to do with it. I get them more when we have a ton of sex. I'm 32.
Avatar f tn I have in now but it could be your underwear I also thought yeast infection but just sweating and wrong kimd of underwear as soon as I stopped wearing that type it went away
Avatar f tn Yes, you can get an infection for wearing wet clothes. It does sound like a yeast infection and if it is you would not need an antibiotic. If it's a bacterial infection you would need and antibiotic. That's why I recommend you see your Dr. If you can't see your Dr you can buy an over the counter medication at almost any store. A drug store, Walmart, places like that. Monostat seems to have good reviews. You can ask the pharmacist which one they recommend.
Avatar f tn Hi, I just learned a few days ago that I had a yeast infection, and originally I was very scared because I didn't think they were as common as they seem to be and I didn't know what to do. I called my gyno (it's a free clinic) and they told me to get Monistat day 1 treatment as this is my first infection...well it's been 2 days and I still have discharge. How long will it take to go away? I thought it was only supposed to be one day...
Avatar f tn I was prescribed an antibiotic, and from that I developed a yeast infection. Well, I continued to take the antibiotic, and got a pill for the yeast infection..The doctor told me to come back in 2 weeks to see if the UTI was gone, but I never did. Also, I was tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea, and they were negative. Also, I was using a feminine wash daily, which I now know was a bad idea because it messes up natural pH levels. Now, I have been having weird things happen almost everyday.

Avatar m tn Two days ago I noticed my underwear are completely stained pink as well, again no clothes i was wearing could cause this. Is there a possibility this is coming from pink sweat? An infection? I am a master's student in biology so I work in the lab with many chemicals, but none of which cause this problem that I know of. The only other symptom I have is what feels like a yeast infection that I am treating as such, it could possibly be a different kind of infection.
Avatar f tn So i read in a post a few days ago, that putting greek jogurt up your vagina would help heal the yeast infection. ...i tried that yesterday and today it was only getting worse so i stopped. Anybody have any advice?
