yeast-infection

Avatar f tn I had three infections which caused me to have my baby at 30 weeks. I had my 7th kidney infection, a horrible yeast infection from the kidney infection antibiotics, and after my water ruptured I got the infection in my water. I was on 4 different antibiotics while in the hospital till the day I left. My baby got put on antibiotics for 4 days for the yeast infection and for the infection in my waters.
4658567 tn?1364142123 Isn't it too early to be losing the plug and dilating? This will be my second baby but still seems to early. I guess my body was more attempting early labor.. Does losing the plug this early give a sign that I'm gunna go into full blown early labor??
Avatar f tn t remember feeling swollen at 18 weeks. Could be a yeast infection, those are very unpleasant.
Avatar f tn Im 33 weeks 5 days and I went in Tuesday for pelvic pain and they told me I'm 2cm dilated and 50% effaced but that the pain was from a yeast infection. The pain was/is so bad I can hardly move, and no matter what I do I'm hurting. I was monitored for a few hours. Baby and me are fine and there was no change in dilation so I was sent home with information on preterm labor. Does this mean I could go into labor early? And can a yeast infection really hurt like that?
Avatar f tn What's a safe not medication I can use to treat a yeast infection? I heard keeping the area dry is best, but I also heard baby powder and cornstarch aren't good to use.
Avatar f tn I don't think so. I had a yeast infection and uti and the doctor never mention that it could hurt the baby.
Avatar n tn t get hurt but if you were to go into labor and you do have a yeast infection the baby could get thrush which is a yeast infection in the babies mouth (yucky). And my doc recommend doing the 3 or 7 day dosage. She said the one day dosage sometimes isn't strong enough or gets rid of it even though it's supposed to be. She also said be sure to finish the 3 day or 7 day dosage before my next OB check and don't insert it all the way in.
Avatar f tn Let your OB know because many times its hard to tell the difference between bacterial vaginosis and a yeast infection.
Avatar f tn Are you sure its a yeast infection? I had discharge well still do I thought it was a yeast infection but every time my doctor checked it wasnt. I started wiping with wet wipes it helped and got that pH body wash.
Avatar n tn Ohh I wanted to add if it was a yeast infection you'd be itchy and it would uncomfortable.
Avatar f tn I have a mild yeast infection and I am 29 weeks pregnant. My doctor gave me two doses of flucanazole of 150 mg. I am scared to take the medication because of what I have been reading on line. Although there is not enough studies on the affects of the drug on human babies, I really don't want to take the chance. My question is, is leaving a yeast infection harmful to my baby??
Avatar f tn Go to the doctor! I was told it may not be a yeast infection there is another type of infection very common in pregnancy that can cause serious problems with the baby if not taken care of. Also with a yeast infection if you do not get proper care they can cause the baby to be born early.
Avatar f tn when they start getting stronger or closer together for more than 30 mins i would time them.. i went thru early labor for 2 weeks.. wentnto the doc. N my water broke the nextnnight with no contractions.. about the burning sensation, i had cultures done n doc didnt find anything...
Avatar f tn If any infection is left untreated that is when you can have issues.
Avatar f tn Yes yeast infections are common in pregnancy
Avatar f tn And do the pills affect the baby because i heard that the cream can harm the baby and if you still have the yeast infection when in labor the baby could come out with the infection or blind do you know if its true?
Avatar f tn I am being treated for a UTI right now, have had BV and a yeast infection already this pregnancy! UTI's aren't a concern unless they get REALLY bad. Being on antibiotics will stop it from progressing, then you won't have to worry about preterm labor. All kinds of infections are VERY common while pregnant, so don't stress, drink lots and lots of water, take your medicine, and you'll be fine!
Avatar f tn when my doctor gave me medicine it was a one day pill i had relief for two days then it came back so i baught a three day treatment from walgreens and its worked for a week or so and now.
Avatar n tn So I've had a yeast infection since I found out I was pregnant. My doctor finally gave me a prescription to get diflucan. But my insurance want pay for it because they he said it is a risk for the baby. Has this happened to anyone else? Or have you taken diflucan and everything turned out fine? Not to mention she only prescribe me 2 pills one every 24 hours and that's it.
Avatar f tn I think its GBS its a vaginal bacterial infection i thought i had an yeast as well it keeps coming back but it wasnt sadly but when u go into labor they will give u antibiotics in your IV to cure it before u give it to your baby
Avatar f tn It's possible that you may have a yeast infection. I was very itchy for a while and my doc did vaginal smears that didn't show anything under the microscope. It took a few weeks for me to get the common yeast symptoms. I had to be treated two times in one month because the first med did not work.
Avatar f tn Itching + yellowish discharge usually indicates a yeast infection. WHen is your next appointment? if it's not soon, I'd go ahead and ask them to see you at the beginning of the week so you can have it treated - you don't want to be recovering from a nasty yeast infection AND labor at the same time!
Avatar f tn Monistat 3 worked for me. It has 3 applications. My yeast infection was gone in 2 days.
Avatar f tn I would guess a yeast infection but I can't be sure but I do know they can pop up at anytime so just because u didn't have one two weeks ago doesnt mean u dont have one now :) hope this helps
Avatar f tn When he dropped I immediately had really bad vaginal soreness and swolleness, got a yeast infection, and my hemmhroids flared up. Yay pregnancy!
