Avatar f tn Hello! I have been experiencing some vaginal burning during my menstrual, but I am not sexually active! My menstrual doesn't smell bad, or have any real change in texture. I tend to get large clots and watery blood. Sometimes my vulva gets itchy, but I realized always pads were doing that to me! After I switched, no more itching. But my vagina has been burning and I think it's actually kinda dry despite having such a heavy flow! Any input would be appreciated!
Avatar f tn Im on birth control (Implanon) and I know its not a yeast infection, because i tried treating it as that last month and it didnt get any better. Also, my flow has gotten different in the last months, from normal blood to a thick brown kind of smelly. It is almost like a paste instead of blood. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn All of a sudden I developed this itch during my menstrual cycle. At first, I thought it was a yeast infection but 7 days into my cycle the itch was still there so I went to the hospital. The doctors did a urinalysis to check for any infections and did not find anything. Instead they diagnosed me with anogenital puritus and told me to pick up difflucan. What in the world is Anogenital puritus? I am going to the gyno for a second opinion.
Avatar f tn The most likely cause of your symptoms is chronic/recurrent yeast infection, or irritant vaginitis (more likely, I think). Vaginitis just means inflammation of the vaginal/vulvar area. I'm not sure if you've been examined, or have had swabs and had yeast ruled out. If it is yeast, it may be easily treated with an anti-fungal.
Avatar n tn From personal experience yeast infection is not the cause.
Avatar f tn I had a yeast infection about 2 weeks ago I got an antifungal pill to take and six to insert but no antifungal cream for my vagina. After my symptoms cleared up I had sex (unprotected sex) with my boyfriend and everything was ok until my menstrual came. I started having itching around the second day of my menstrual and now it's beginning to get worst do I need to go back to the doctor or can I just get an antifungal cream at a pharmacy?
Avatar f tn Monilia (Yeast) Infection There is normally a small amount of yeast (Candida albicans) present in the vagina. A yeast infection occurs when there is an overabundance of yeast, often caused by a change in the pH balance of the vagina. Yeast infections are not usually sexually transmitted.
1216354 tn?1266466623 Hi, type to visit your gyne, you might have a urinary tract infection or yeast infection, which is quite common, but until you get yourself checked and evaluated by a professional, I would abstain from sexual intercourse to avoid transmitting a possible infection to your partner. Usually, when you urinate and you experience pain, it could be just a mild infection. Antibotics will take care of it. Good luck.
Avatar m tn I doubt that it is a yeast infection because I am not experiencing all those symptoms. All I feel is a little discomfort in that area when I wipe and for a short time after. It is the end of my menstrual cycle in about two days. Are the irritations related to that? Should I be concerned?
Avatar m tn I have been having horrible menstrual cramps for a few years now and I just found out that I have a yeast infection. I've felt itching down there for a long while but I just played it off. Now I just found out that it's a yeast infection. So I would like to know if a yeast infection can make cramps worse.
Avatar f tn My vagina and vagina slips have been itching terribly on and off for 3 weeks. It is embarrassing. It began during my menstrual when I washed down there with soap I usually do not use ( Irish spring, I regularly use dove) For the first few days it burned so I stopped using soap at all. I only use white wash clothes. The itch subsided but then came back. There is no smell, unusual discharge or rash. I was a little sore from rubbing.
Avatar f tn If any infection is left untreated that is when you can have issues.
11970398 tn?1443134602 Ive been battling yeast infections,my dr says their super common during pregnancy, but my question iswhat happens if i have one during labor? Will it effect my baby somehow?

Avatar f tn I have had about 4 this year and everytime i go back to the doctor i get the same medicine which leads to a yeast infection which i cure with monistat to only get a bacterial infection and the cycle continues. This time my doctor prescribed me a pill to take for the yeast infection i got after the antibiotics. I feel like its a vicious cycle and Im really concerned what do you think is causing this?
Avatar f tn Any has experienced yeast infection during pregnancy? Is it safe to consume Diflucan during first trimester?
1386765 tn?1451164337 I got a yeast infection mid cycle, after bding. DH is having no problems, so not from him. Is there any other reason for this? Can it be that my body is just not accepting his swimmers? Thanks for any thoughts.
Avatar f tn This has been going on for about 7 months straight where i have had the symptoms of a yeast infection. I have taken medicine or used creams atleast one time per month in this time period, the symptoms then went away for a few weeks then would come back. I finally went to a gynecologist and was given more yeast infection medicines, but they also told me nothing came up on the tests they ran. It cant be a uti because i have also had antibiotics in this time period for a total of 10 days.
Avatar f tn Sorry to hear that. Monistat is probably the only med they recommend for yeast infection during pregnancy. Can't your doc prescribe something?? How long can you go on like this? Good luck to you. I hope it goes away!
869568 tn?1248372915 I wondered, though, have any of you ever experienced this during pregnancy? Is this dangerous? I had a yeast infection once before a looooooooooong time ago and was treated with cream; is that safe during pregnancy?
Avatar f tn Monistat or something similar is safe to take during pregnancy and if the baby is born vaginally while you have a yeast infection, he or she could end up with thrush in his mouth and that would be much trickier to get rid of. Unfortunately, yeast infections are just more likely to happen during pregnancy. I never had one in my life until I got pregnant and now I've had two! Both were diagnosed by my midwife and both times they told me to take the over the counter remedy.
Avatar n tn //www.healthline.com/health/can-a-yeast-infection-cause-bleeding The candida can cause inflammation, blood is common I have had success over the years with monostat one day. But the doctor can prescribe a pill you take once that gets rid of it. How are you treating your yeast infection?
Avatar f tn right think I have a yeast infection, feel very sore and itchiness down there, what's best thing for it? Got a midwife appointment on Friday which I'm going to mention it, will she need to examine me?
3202361 tn?1345581214 Hello, The increased discharge could be due to physiological reasons like rise of hormone level (oestrogen) which is seen- during puberty, menstrual cycle, sexual excitement, pregnancy etc. It could be also seen in poor personal hygiene, non-infective cervical lesions, uterine prolapse, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, use of contraceptive pills, onset of vaginal infection or sexually transmitted disease etc.
Avatar f tn Have any of u got a yeast infection more than one time? I'm 12 weeks. I had it once already and I feel like I have it again.
Avatar f tn It is very common to keep a yeast infection and Bacteria Vaginosis (BV) during pregnancy. With the boost in hormones everything is thrown off such as your PH balance. My doctor was saying even what we eat, stress and sex could throw it off...the slightest things. So don't worry just keep your doctor informed because both can attribute to preterm labor.
